Just going thru my old photos and got this old photo out of the bottom of the pile.

Was I the only bloke to get on the pitch straight after the game and take the pic of Sir Steve Gritt getting interviewed??

I hope this works!!

wherever the money is
I could not get a ticket so I managed to get up there as a steward. Sat by the pitch all game, was allowed to stroll around the pitch when we survived and got £10 and a couple of drinks in the club bar for working :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:
Did take a Brighton fan onto the pitch to take some pictures. Was not you was it CS?

I started off in the home end and transferred with about 15 others just before kick off. I often wonder how I would have kept my grief at going behind and elation at equalising quiet if I'd stayed in the home end  It would have been an invitation to a good shoeing to leap around in the home end I reckon, judging by the atmosphere at the end of the game

I was in the home end for the whole game, and went into their supporters club bar afterwards - I might have given myself away, because I was the only one in there with a big beaming grin on my face!

Nothing can top that. It was never enjoyable, Hereford had chances right through until the very end. When they broke through in injury time and Foster had the whole goal to shoot at from the penalty spot and no defenders in sight time stood still. For some reason he shot straight at Rust/Ormerod ( I can't remember who was in goal that day), but the whole Albion support was looking through their fingers at that moment, we were so so close to extinction in that brief moment of time. To see people whining on NSC every day about playing in two divisions higher shows what short memories some have.

Since that dark day we have had....

Two years in Gillingham
Back to back Championships
Two players sold for £1.5million
Two England U-21 internationals
The coolest kit sponsors in the country
Rocketman
Mickey Adams
Bobby Zamora
Danny Cullip
ARS
Spurs last year
Millenium Stadium trip
Victories over West Ham, Sunderland, Leeds, Forest, who, with respect, should be beating teams like us.

........and Hereford have had 8 years in the Conference.

Who knows what the next 8 years will hold for us...for Hereford it will probably be another 8 in the Conference.
