Couldn't give a f***. Labour will lose the next election and it'll be law that you can't scrap the pound and the Queen will be head of state for the foreseeable future.

Labour will be in the wilderness for decades to come and our country will be put back into the hands of the ENGLISHMAN!

Let me see - Labour won the previous three elections, two by a landslide, yet we still have the pound with no foreseeable entry in to the Eurozone, and we still have the monarchy (indeed a republican future hasn't even been debated in Parliament).

Good to see you've got your finger on the pulse...

The pound is on their fingertips to be abolished but they’ve haven’t had the balls to scrap it, if they won a fourth term then the pound would be dumped without a referendum just like the treaty and we’d be in the euro.

But no fear of this socialist dictatorship of ever winning a fourth term

So they haven't had the balls in the first 13 years of their :cough: 'Socialist Dictatorship', but they will have in the 14th?

Got you.

Isn't this going off topic a bit?

As for the Queen's Message, I found it slightly surreal that a good deal of it was devoted over to the Commonwealth. This year's been the hardest for most British people in 20-odd years, and there she is banging on about something that has f*** all significance for the vast majority of British people.

But then again, I doubt this year's been especially hard for her.

My sentiments as well about the Commonwealth as it really does mean f*** all as far as I am concerned bar a games every four years.

Think the theme should have been far more military related especially as her son / grand sons are actively involved.

It's all a bit "living in the past". She's bigging up the Commonwealth / Empire and New Labour have made military commitments we can't afford.

You just feel like saying to all of these bods in power "Get f***ing real!"

People forget that the 20 million tourists to our once great country do so to visit Buckingham palace and Windsor castle as the queen lives there. If it wasn’t for the queen then we wouldn’t get that many, i.e., less visitors, less money. And tourism would diminish and hotels would suffer and so would tour busses and the list goes on.
People bang on about how she is posh and shouldn’t receive public money but without her then the country would suffer more.

But those "20 million" tourists would still visit this country to see the old buildings like Buck house, Windsor castle etc. Without the royal family, we could still keep these places open as tourist attractions. The French do it.

Our royal family is unique. Millions visit every year and visit the royal households as it's the queens residence. Without the lady then it would drop tenfold. get it bone head?

No neeed for the "bone head" remark was there. Why is our royal familly unique then? Do you have any evidence to back these statistics up? Or are you just going to resort to personal jibes? get it?

It’s Christmas so will apologise for the bone head remark , and it wasn’t called for so happy xmas.

I say our royal family is unique as it’s been the main symbol of our country for generations.

You ask any tourist what they love to visit and it’s Buckingham palace and hope to get a glimpse of the Queen.

How is it uniquely different from, say, the Dutch royal family? Or the Danish, or the Spanish?

At this stage its clear you're trolling about the tourists.
