It depends on the tv coverage though, doesn't it?

Nail on head. If this was a saturday game, covered by the BBC, there are fewer cameras compared to a live TV game. Generally there are between 8-10 cameras for a BBC game (usually 8) where as a Sky one can have up to 20 depending on the level of game we are talking about (they'll pile on loads for a title decider or a big derby match).

Looking at the camera positions used, the angle which has done Hemed is the reverse corner Super Slow Motion camera (the behind shot) - which would appear on every broadcast. But it very much depends if that is the standard position at the Amex. There may well be one North Stand end as well.

The front angle, FYI, is camera two (a zoomed in version of the main camera angle).

** when I say done, it does look more incriminating because you can't see his face. The front shot I think clearly shows he is not looking at yedlin. Whether that means he meant it or not is a different matter entirely

I know that it is inevitable but how can it be fair when a player has retrospective action taken against him because it was shown on TV when a player doing exactly the same in a a non televised game escapes unscathed. If the ref misses an incident on TV it is he who should be brought to task, not the player.

So John Terry's racial slurs should have gone unpunished because the ref didn't pick up on them the first time.

Or the Luis Suarez bite against Branislav Ivanovic?

Yeah. Good idea that.

Isnt that one of the duties of a ref to look out for such incidents? There are 4 officials watching the game plus an assessor in the stands.

I don't care if the referees miss a player getting out a truncheon, hitting the other player over the head and running away shouting "He deserved that".

The issue is if the player breaks the rules then they should be brought to justice, even if that is via TV cameras catching the action.

The inability of a referee doesn't mean you should get away with a crime.

I love all the self righteous people who say he should have asked if Yedlin was ok what world do they live in? We were 1 minutes from gaining a hard fought for 3 points what do they honestly expect?

We obviously disagree that is why football is so popular everybody has an opinion.

Not surprised that the ban was upheld. Too much pressure from the media.

Imagine the comedy if we score 4 or 5 whilst he's out, and when he returns the Nigels still haven't scored.
