There’s a couple of true crime podcasts about the Clive Olive case. Can’t find them right now. Head one few weeks ago.
"Malcolm St Clair and David Armstrong were murdered by a gang of up to 40 Hells Angels.
It was said that their murders were part of an ongoing battle between two motorbike gangs, the Hatchet Crew, an Essex chapter of the Hells Angels and the Outcasts.
They had been at a Rockers Reunion concert at Battersea Arts Centre which was attended by about 1,700 people when they were attacked. There were said to be about 40 Hells Angels in the area and it was described as a shark attack in which two separate groups attacked members of the Outcasts motorcycle gang in droves.
Malcolm St Clair was attacked by two men with an axe and a knife near Theatre Street and stabbed eight times in the chest, abdomen, back and hand"

Not sure about local but loads were in London last summer for a meet up.
I drove through* loads in Dorking around that time. I'd heard it was a global thing, with bikers flying in from the States. Maybe they had a mass picnic in the Surrey Hills topped off with a tour of the Denbies' vineyard (wine tasting included)?
*Not literally. I'm no Reginald Denny.
They all gather at Rykers burger bar and then “tame the Mickeys”. The Mickleham bends. Genuinely is a world famous biker’s destination.
I used to live close by and during summer that area was swarming with bikers.
Thought the bends were called the Dork Four back in the Rockers Era?
Some of the more 'enthusiastic' Box Hill lot have taken to Speed Trials down the A24 past Horsham, across the A272 to Billingshurst and then along the A29 to Bury Hill Cafe. Quite a few have killed themselves, especially in the last bit up Bury Hill.
Nothing to do with HA who don't go in for that sort of thing.

HA do not tame the Mickeys. Their bikes are not built for that. HA and bikers are an entirely different thing.
I wasn’t talking about HA, I thought the conversation had moved onto biking in general and Box Hill came up, an area I know well. Is that okay with you?
Fine with me, like you give a jot. Reading back the conversation had wavered somewhat, but was still essentially about the HA. But feel free to continue to make incorrect statements.
You could start an argument in an empty room.
In Sweden biker gangs are a huge issue and this - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Nordic_Biker_War - has kept going "under the surface".
No Western country in the world is close to our 100+ bombings per year and a huge part of this is the war between biker gangs - Hells Angels, Bandidos, Outlaw MC:s and some new Dutch gang called "No Surrender".
As for Hells Angels, they are losing power. They are now considered the "friendly MC gang" - 50+ year old Swedish uncles who likes rock'n'roll and motorbikes. Of course they also do some shady shit but they've lost market after market. None of the big MC gangs are able to compete in the big cities anymore - the Yugoslavian mafia is too strong in central Stockholm/Gothenburg and in the Swedish suburb ghettos you need to get along with the Arabs or Albanians if you want to run a business.
In smaller cities the newer (+ Bandidos) MC gangs dominate. Go to a pub in a small sized city and you'll see that it is run or "guarded" by Bandidos or similar. They have recruited a lot of peope who are mainly criminals and sometimes dont even own a bike. Hells Angels cant compete with that so they mainly focus on... well, biking, these days. Probably as it should be, but still a bit fascinating to see this giant infamous gang being pushed around by newcomers.
Just reading your link. It was this paragraph that highlighted that things were beginning to get a little out of hand. Is this what you referred to as "under the surface" or was that a reference to the land mines?
"Between 1994 and 1997, there were at least thirty-six break-ins at Swedish and Danish Army installations; at least sixteen Bofors anti-tank missiles, ten machine guns, around three-hundred handguns, sixty-seven fully automatic rifles, two-hundred-and-five rifles of various calibres, hundreds of hand grenades and land mines, and seventeen kilograms of explosives plus detonators were stolen. Police believe the Bandidos or their support clubs were responsible for the majority of the thefts. The Hells Angels obtained Russian- and Yugoslavian-made rocket launchers as well as surplus machine guns and rifles from Eastern Bloc countries".
