[News] Hells Angels, are they still around?

Still around Ian,came into the Crabtree and took a local group outside affiliated to the Vikings, stripped their jackets off them. No violence but there was probably about 20 of them against 5 old men who love motorbikes. I assume they have now disbanded as were always met up in the Crab Thursday nights. Not longer after this happened

Nah, spent the night down the Hungry Years (seafront nightclub which played hard rock music) dressed as bikers, and then got the train home, carrying their crash helmets with them
Chances are they did come down by bike, but then went on a pub crawl and ended up down the Hungry Years. Had to get the train home, but then came back for their bikes.

True pirates are a nasty lot also. There is a man four doors down he has tattoos and a beard, he is always screaming at his poodle, nasty man.
They sound scary to me.
According to Jim Marshall, the former head of Sussex CID who investigated the murder, the Mad Dogs were unique amongst the motorcycle gang fraternity in that none of them actually owned motorbikes, not being able to afford them, so used to wander around the streets on foot.
On more than one occasion in the distant past, I've walked behind some 'bikers', from the Hungry Years up to Brighton Station in the early hours - they were wearing the right gear and carrying their crash helmets - and then got on a train home. Poseurs

They had a 50th Anniversary event only last year and drove from Pease Pottage to Brighton. I was surprised that they've only been established in the UK since 1969. I thought it was earlier. They started in America in the late 40s just after WW2.

Yes, they didn’t own a motorbike between them!
Remember the mad dogs Sussex my sister went out with one, none had bikes, but all a bit crazy and violent, number about 20 strong, with most having mohican haircuts, saw them taking a serious beating in West Street jumped by around 150 skinheads after they had spent the early evening picking the skins off one by one arriving at top rank suite (event),, after the murder of one of there own named ollie, the ones that were left (not charged) made a run for Amsterdam seriously outnumbered in a long running "dispute" with hells angels london,

When I lived in Camden there were numerous rockin events and regular held in around Camden, The outcasts would often turn up, and every Sunday a night was held at a pub in Mornington Crescent, for the life of me I can't remember its name, anyway it was owned by the Outcasts and many dubious folk would be there, obviously three rottweilers would have free roam of the pub which would keep you on your toes. Then one winter I attended the Rockers Reunion in 1998 with several of my friends, it was not strictly Rockabilly or Psychobilly and usually frequented by Teds, older rockabillies from the first wave revival the mid/late 70s and a smattering of bikers to see old ted bands and a few younger bands.
The night was all a haze really, mainly because I was slightly drunk, but I do remember there being an air of hostility buzzing around, and talk of something kicking off, I don't remember too much other than talking to my friends and few ladies then waking up the next day somewhere in Sydenham with one of said ladies.I only found out the full extent of what happened later the Sunday afternoon, when the pub thing in Morning Crescent was cancelled.

We had a group like that in Faversham. Not one bike between them. They took a shine to my mate's band and would turn up to most of the local gigs. One of them was a five foot two postman, with a beard like Billy Gibbons. My impression of them was very, very thick.
