How the old place has changed, normally I would say change is not good,
But in this case i have to take my hat off to the council about the change to the Broadway in recent years,
The amount of new bars and resturants up there has really woken the place up.
(Especially The Savanna Bar) quality drinks, staff, and owned by Brighton fans.
I hope there victorious in there fight to keep THERE hospital too. I thank you.:albion2::whisky::drink:

Agreed, I went out in Haywards Heath for the first time on Saturday night and it has a great atmosphere with plenty of decent bars. Savanna is good although the bar is too small and you have to queue for about half an hour. Also went to Bar Boo, just as impressive.
It was quite a contrast to my night out in Burgess Hill on Friday, although I have had some good nights out there too

It is nice through there. Much nicer than Burgess Hill. Fact.

Pah! Buxted is where it's at. The bars round the harbour are wicked this time of year!

On Saturday the DJ played not only the jivebunny megamix but also the greece one!

Tubby Mondays got so excited he spilt his cinzano all over his plimsolls!

Happy times!

Apart from that minor detail, it sounds lovely.

I suppose I can admit that the crop of bars tends to keep away common people who wear things like jeans and trainers, so it suits types like me who wear trendy gear from Next. It gets me past the fat meathead bouncers so I can enjoy a delicious pint of lager with my equally fashion-conscious friends.

Actually, now I write that down in words, I realise that those bars are about as cool as cutting your willy off.

If being crammed like sardines into a wannabe club, paying ridiculous money for a watered down pint of gnats piss (which will invariably be spilt over you by someone with a superiority complex two minutes later), waiting an inordinately long time to be served, and associating with an assortment of slappers, chavs and trendy morons is your sort of thing then The Broadway is great. For normal people, however, it's diabolical. Even The Star is rubbish these days.

It's a chavfest most of the time to be fair.

Would much prefer to go to Lindfield, somewhere like the Stand Up Inn - No chavs, decent atmosphere, nice selection of drinks...lovely.

Well said that man it is crap. When I go to a bar I dont expect to pay an admission charge, which is becoming the trend especially over the Christmas/New Year period and I expect to be served fairly quickly with civility and manners not have the drink virtually thrown at me followed by £3.50 while they carry on talking to their mate.

Burrell Arms best pub in Haywards Heath FACT! (well maybe not but the only place that deserves to be called a pub)

Those bars on the so called ‘Strip’ are just full of people with shiny shoes and untucked next shirts, that claim they have a big job for a city bank. What that really means is they work down the road for Lloyd’s earning less than they would at a fast food chain. Then spend their last few quid to get sniffed up and try and impress the local bikes with a bottle of cheap sparkling wine.

Anywhere that requires shoes and shirt to go in on a Friday/Saturday is just asking for a bar full of kunts. Well I suppose it has one benefit it keeps the proles in one place.

I will try it over the weekend when I get home and give my proffessional view next week and how it compares with the United Services Club although that leaves alot to be desired service wise at times

If you have ever used the Cottage Bakery in Burgess Hill and were impressed then you will be happy with Bar Sav !

Bar Sav IMO offers more than the rest of those on the strip !

It is more than just a poncy bar - try visiting during the day !
