My parents bought the house after me so could well have been my uncle and mum.Bottom right hand corner of the picture below shows my uncle second one in holding rolled up paper. Picture from the 1930's:thumbsup:

Who let those WOMEN in, by the way? Outrageous. They should have been at home with the mangle.

Incidentally, has there ever been a better view- encompassing more or less the entire pitch- of any football stadium from somebody's house as the ones ROTR has posted? I know there are hills overlooking Northampton's depressing little Lego stadium where you (used to) get people watching from, and the tower blocks adjacent to the Valley and Upton Park must provide a partial view of certain games. But a proper, reasonable view?

Three sided stadiums where you can stand on the touchline and watch (Kassam Stadium, Northampton's old, pre-Sixfields ground etc) don't count.
