Just the one, England v Denmark Sept,12,1979.West lower standing enclosure price £2.50,so far away from pitch the players looked like ants. I think we won.
I was going to post - my memory was we lost …….. but you’re correct we won.

Lots of home games late 70s early 80s. Cheap night out. Just rock up if you fancied it. I loved seeing the opposition stars, and of course our players in an age when not a lot of live football was on the box.

Wembley was a dump mins. The stairwells were urinals.

World Cup Qualifier in 89 against Albania, friendly against Norway in 94ish, was a steward at pre Euro 96 friendly against Hungary. Went to first game at new Wembley versus Italy u21 game, first England Brazil friendly and then the majority of qualifiers for Euro 2008 and WC 2010

Lots of home games in the 90s and 2000s. Great times at Wembley during Euro 96, apart from the Germany game. The complete buzz kill at the end of the game was terrible. The ride back across London in a silent tube stays in my memory.
Looking forward to a massive adventure for the World Cup 26. It will be hopeless trying to get tickets for England games so we're planning to bolt ourselves on to any small country with fans who party like crazy.

The only I saw England was at Wembley v Northern Ireland in the old home internationals.

I had to look it because I'm sure Emlyn Hughes played. So that would make it 1980.

I went to a lot of games both home and away leading up to WC Germany 2006, then saw the first two games against Paraguay and Trinidad & Tobago. Went to loads of other games through the first two weeks of the tournament as well, had an awesome time.

We went to Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Dortmund, Berlin, Leipzig and Cologne. Drinking and partying with people from across the world, all with a love of football. One of the best times of my life.

Each new city was awesome until the rest of the England fans turned up. The atmosphere then got darker, more aggressive and nationalistic, wasn't nice. Put me off continuing to follow the national team.

My first Wembley game was as a youngster was two years earlier v Northern Ireland, my only memory of the game was we all had to get up and leave our seats for about five minutes as there was a bomb scare

Coincidentally, my first game was v Netherlands at Wembley in 1970.
A young player called Johann Cruyff made his first appearance in England.
And that was a great thing about England games. You just didn’t get the chance to see these players otherwise. I saw Brazil and when they came out in their kit it was magical.

We still booed their anthem mind.

Yes, 3 but in the Scotland end... Obviously... and yes i am wearing my Holland 88 replica top today, and i have a horrible feeling you lot will win the whole thing.

If you take offence at my Holland top wearing, ask yourself this... do you EVER want Palace to win even a coin toss?

Saw England in a straightforward home qualifier. Forget the opposition but I think it was 3-0. It was quite boring as England were clearly superior and it felt like a training game. I’d love to see some England tournament games but that won’t be realistic for me for quite a long time.

El Tel’s first game in charge versus Denmark. Platt scored early in the first half and it finished 1-0.

Not really an England fan, so that might well be my one and only time attending a game.
(Amazingly) that is also the one and only England game I have ever been to.

Went to a few Wembley in the late 80s as a teenage herbert. I can recall a Scotland game and a 2-2 v Holland. Then none until 2002 World Cup and 2004 Euros. Only other time took the kids to England v Hungary in the early 2010s - think Zamora debut. Hungarian fans had loaves of bread on their arms (no idea why) that kids thought was more entertaining than the match

Quite a few back in the day. Mid to late 70’s and early 80’s. Soho first for the 50p peep shows. It’s amazing how many blokes can fit in one cubicle. On one occasion one of the lads was seen to have Harry monk on the back of his donkey jacket. From a previous occupant I hasten to add. Still have the vivid image of a naked young lady holding a whip and eating a cheese sandwich. Most memorable game when a Paul Mariner goal v Hungary sent us to Spain 82.
