I got racist abuse hurled at me in Cardiff train station, but a Heddlu (welsh copper) either arrested him for that or was already arresting him, as he got dragged off the platform.

I did nothing, didn't get asked anything by the cops or anything.

Details man, details!
During the 60's and 70's violence at football was a fairly regular occurence. As a North Stander during that time it was almost inevitable that I would get involved,as away fans would often infiltrate that end with the aim of causing trouble. There were too many incidents to mention here but games against Millwall(in particular the time that their fans turned up wearing surgical masks in an attempt to avoid identification),Chelsea,West Ham,Tottenham,in fact any London club,,were usually accompanied by trouble on the terraces and around town.Of course ,matches against Palarse were the highlight of the season(on and off the pitch) and Brighton fans always gave as good as they got. It was a matter of honour not to run from the Shitehurst Park wankers.
Confession time now-I got arrested twice for fighting (once at The Goldstone and also at Aldershot).,and the 2nd time received a suspended sentence which brought me to my senses, and I steered clear of trouble after that.

Spurs (away) late seventies, almost constant from an hour before kick-off until an hour after. 0-0 draw except if you count when Perryman decked Tony Towner then it was 1-0 to Spurs, after Towner nutmegged him for the second time.

More episodes than all the other matches put together.

I got smacked in the mouth outside the Goldstone Ground after our final match there in March 1997. It was the day before my birthday and we got beat 0-2.

Terrific.

Actually may have been season of 87, can't remember. Barry Lloyd was manager with Gazza Nelson up front!

In the 70s it was expected. I was never a hooligan, I never went looking for trouble but invariably, especially away, there would be fighting. I hit a few people and got hit myself, but I actually preferred running away, it was like glorified 'chase'. You'd yell abuse at their neanderthals and then when they charged you'd run away. It was actually quite exciting.
