But all this was in a younger previous life. I turned a leaf and now mainly offer food, music, fish puns, dad jokes and just the occasional balanced and informed political commentary.

I tired of NSC politics ages ago. Very little learnt, mainly insults and people posting tweets from celebs/'influencers' whose opinion matters no more than any of us.

Exceptions .... the Brexit thread because it's important and the two Labour threads to critique or praise real decisions.

Freedom of speech is hugely important. Which is why people who abuse it should be sanctioned in some way — though I hope you received a warning first.

Brexit - one of the issues of times, economically for the UK THE issue. Perhaps that thread should be renamed an unsexy "EU - UK relationship"? Even though I was/am Remainer throughout, I differed from many others here in that I don't believe in insulting Brexiteers. Plus the furtiveness of the likes of Bercow was rightly called out.
