As part of my ongoing attempt to understand the human condition by chatting to a random bunch of Brighton fans, my latest question.

I haven't becuase I've never been that SAD, and even if I WAS, I'd be too scared that it would HURT.

I don't like things that hurt.

Vankleek Hill, actually....
That's an interesting question coming from someone living in a country where Hari Kiri is considered the ultimate way out.

Or when they throw themselves in front of the bloody Hibiya line train, so that it used to take me bloody ages to get to work. :censored: :censored:

No.

But I certainly don't think it's the cowards way out at all. My friends daughter killed herself last October and there was nothing cowardly about Emily or her choice, she fought long and hard and with more courage than I knew a person could possess against the demons she carried around with her but in the end the weight on her shoulders was too much to bear.

I think the general consenus from people that have never felt suicidal is that it is a cry for help or attention seeking.

That is wrong in the majority of instances.

Feeling suicidal is like having constant headache you can do nothing to relieve. You find difficulty getting on with even the most basic of things and at some points the pain is so much that you just don't want to be able to feel anymore.

Funny isn't it that soldiers who die whilst engaged in a no hope act of suicidal courage in battle are praised as heros, people who kill themselves whilst engaged in a no hope mental battle with life are called cowards

I was having a paricularly bad time about 4 or 5 years ago whereby I was being stitched up by a business partner, I wasn't in good health, our finances were a wreck, my marriage seemed to be going down a one way street and I couldn't bear the consequences of that with regards to the kids etc.

I didn't consciously plan suicide but I remember being quite upset one day driving up the A281 (I think) to Horsham and almost making a split second decision to drive into something at high speed.

I had reached my low point and it was after that we decided to sell up and leave

On the ocean wave
I tried running headlong at Sainsbury's doors. They opened automatically & I ended up in the fresh fruit section.

I'll get my coat.

Funny you say that and your from Japan.I was reading in the paper the other day that Japan seems to have a craze for suicide packs done over the net.Five recently topped themselves by meeting up and gassing themselves.Sounds like you have problems in your life with not seeing one of your children as well
