Went to see FC Luzern when I was there, but can't for the life of me tell you who they were playing... was 8 years ago now!

Yes.

St Patrick's Athletic vs. IF Elfsborg in the UEFA Cup in 2008 during a holiday to Dublin.

Actually bumped into another NSC'er at the game, rather weirdly.

Exactly 5 years ago I was in Le Havre watching a League one team play.

Other than that have seen Marmaris Beldye play when in Turkey.

Mallorca V Racing last season.

It was great. They did the white hanky thing.

Took my Mrs to see Motherwell v Dundee Utd on the way back from a day trip to Edinburgh whilst on hols in the Lake District. This was back when Dundee Utd were in Europe and had a half decent side. I had intended to go and see Albion Rovers (for obvious reasons) but their game was rained off!

Went to watch Espanyol against Real Madrid a few years ago when I was visiting Barcalona. Madrid (including Beckham) were shite (as it turned out) - & I found myself supporting the plucky home side in the Albion-a-like strip, funnily enough. Final score? A thoroughly deserved 1-0 to The Espanyol. :clap2:

ps Shit on The Barca!

Yes, went to a game in Paraguay in 02, think it was a qualifier for the Copa Libertadores...can't remember who either of the teams were but it only cost a couple of quid to get in and my half-time sandwich was the equivalent of about 10p.

Earlier this year I went to see River Plate versus Huracan, in Argentina, the footy was average but atmosphere was incredible.

My Eyetie troubles home village side Brugnato against Portovenere, a tasty derby in north west Italian lower leagues, well to them anyway.
It was pwoppah nawty and the boys were goin toe to toe wiv claret and Carabinieri everywhere. The footy was shocking, all dives and theatrics, the dustbins loved it.
Afterwards we had a few Camparis with the gaffer in his pizzeria. Bella calcio.
What?

About 15 years ago caught Tenerife away to Cala something or other (Spannish 3rd Division team) in the Kings Cup, when holidaying in Majorca.

Couple of years back whilst visiting sister in law in Scotland saw Celtic v Hearts, courtesy of a couple of freebies from Virgs.

Last season, admittedly whilst working in Belfast saw Linfield v Glentoran at Windsor Road. Great derby atmosphere and Glentoran coach had police escort away from ground.

Hoping to catch a game in both Turkey and Malta later this year.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
About 6 Augusts ago i was in Vigo with a girlfriend i loved deeply and a couple who bickered at times, often over her criticism of my friend's oversafe driving. We saw Celta Vigo play in their first game of the season for what must have been the cost of around £8. Every Spaniard holidays and gives up work in August, so the attendance there was very low. The few thousand watching the Spanish premier league in action were a lively bunch though. Local drunks all topless and rocking in and out of the shade to hide from the over-oliving of their ruffled skin. Twas a 2-0 victory in the end for the home-side. A game of reasonable quality and brazilian influence. The women we were with were nonplussed by it all, but i found it all rather ruddy brilliant.

Hertha Berlin v Stuttgart at the Olympic Stadium 3 years ago. Just lucky that it happened to be on while I was in Germany on holiday. Brilliant atmosphere, couple of beers whilst watching the match.

Quite an intimidating ride back on the train full of the Berlin fans!

I've watched Malaga play loads of times when i've been on hols there. Remember watching them against Espanyol when they were flying high in La Liga about 5th and Espanyol were bottom not having scored away all season...finished 2-0 to Espanyol and from memory Malaga only just stayed up in the end!

Used to go with a Pompey loon who ran a coach from his bar and another Albion fan who happened to drink in there, quality days.

Saw a game when I was in Salou, Spain from my balcony where you could see the pitch. Salou won 1-0:clap2:from a distance there was a small stand with around 30 people in, so maybe Sussex league level:shrug:
