I would be more surprised if they don't.
You have no idea of the mentality of the people you are talking about.

im afraid i do. i just live in hope that the members would take the fair course of action, not follow the union managment's agenda.

I laughed at the muppet on BBC1 news who mentioned that RM staff would be able to sell their shares today , totally oblivious of the key fact the shares will be held in trust for 3 years or 5 years to avoid paying tax.

He was probably referring to RM staff who bought additional shares under the employee priority scheme, and are thus able to sell those from today onwards.

The inference was that RM staff would be able to sell the shares that were gifted to them rather than point out it was only the additional share purchase they could cash in on.

Having just read your post about BT and voluntary redundancies, I do feel the need to point out that as down I am on the CWU and the union representation in my office.
I don't trust RM management as far as I can throw them.

We had an old saying "I'm just off to think about management" when telling a work colleague you were going for a dump and not to expect you back for ten minutes. :shit:

Our managers are 'failed postman'.

Do you have any idea what it takes to be a failed postman

I don't get how we were only allowed £750 worth of shares and yet the rich big city brokers could buy unlimited amounts. Head of one already rich city guy making millions. How come they could cash in big time and yet we weren't. Feels like another get the rich richer scheme and fook the minnows like us.

I really don't agree with the privatisation anyway. Before we all owned a share of this countries asset and now non of us do (unless we brought shares) It feels to me that the government have blinded people of the bigger issue of selling the countries assets by allowing them to get excited of there measly few hundred pounds profit.

Like all major share issues, it will always be dominated by institutional investors.

Not quite sure how it can be a 'fook the minnows like us', when all individuals applying for more than £10k (more than 20 people applied for £1 million+) didn't get anything, but the 'minnows' all got something?
