Subways is OK also. And the Spanish bakery place with the French name. Real nice food there.

In fact. London Road is far from bad. If the council would just PEDESTRIANISE the thing, it would flourish.

I doubt they will ever be able to pedestrianise it because of the Buses.

A little bit of topic but what is going on with the old Gala Bingo hall and the surrounding building just down from St. Peters Church (Near the King and Queen goinmg towards London Road)?

Looks a right mess.

Next to that TSB building? Used to be a dancey-prancey type gym upstairs, but does look like they're clearing that whole block for demolition or something.

I think that building is now owned by Luke Cresswell (STOMP, Pookiesnackenburger) or he is involved somewhre down the line with it. There were plans to turn it into a theatre or a venue of some description.

But like most things in this city, the time just kinda drags on...

That former bingo hall always looked like it had potential to me, being an ex-cinema, I always think those buildings can be done up really nicely.

Look at the Duke of Yorks as an example.

God help us if it is demolished in the way the Essodolo(or whatever it was called) was demolished near the Clock Tower.

I went in Co-op just before I went back to London on Friday, it was so eery and empty upstairs. It was quite sad in a way, the end of an era.
