Has Stephen Dobbie just kept Gus Poyet in his job??

Ok, add another 1,800 posh fans which makes 2,000 away fans. That still gives us a real attendance (not tickets sold) of under 22,000. This compared to Cardiff (25.5k) or Ipswich (24.7k) shows a 3k drop in attendance. Of course correlation doesn't show causation, but it's a mighty coincidence (you know how fickle some fans can be).

Well that and P'boro are awful and not a team their own fans paid to watch.

Anyone who thinks Gus' job was on the line needs his head examined.

No. His job was safe.

The real question is, did Stephen Dobbie just save NSC from stupid, pointless, moronic, waste-of-time, piece-of-shit threads?

Guess not.

so true.... even if dobbie hadnt scored - gus is safe - we are playing the best football i have ever seen in one of the best stadiums in the country - its not gus's fault we cant score after creating 20 chances and 21 corners - its the players own ability. You cant fault the football, the effort and the techincal ability. Poyet doesnt make the players snatch shots etc

We are an excellent side and a much better side than last season - play offs minimum for this team this year. If we dont go up this year we will walk the league next season FACT lol

I think Gus' job would have been under scrutiny had we not won this game. You can see the effect a bad run of form has on crowds, down to 23,000 today, with about 20,000 actually showing up. Tony Bloom needs Brighton to perform well, with exciting football to have a successful business model and Gus hasn't delivered lately.

About 2k of those were Leeds supporters.

No, in answer to the original question.

Where did you get 25.5k and 24.7k from? Were they the numbers at the stadium, or tickets sold? I'm not sure we had many less there today than other midweek games (save the away fans).

Not sure I get your point. Weren't Cardiff and Ipswich announced as tickets sold? If Posh had sold 1800 more tonight, the attendance announced would've been about 25,500.

Don't be so bloody ridiculous. You should be banned from ever starting match threads again for saying such a thing.

Good win against a tough side who will pick up points away - well happy with Gus and result.

Rubbish, Peterborough were amazingly atrocious. Kept and moved the ball nicely, but no threat in that team at all. I apologise for calling Olejnik a standard League 2 keeper, but their defenders are bottom feeders at this level. They are going down, deffinitely. Awful team.
