Has anyone got their second free DVD yet?

I know the Insider said it was being sent out late because they updated it with Micky Adams interviews etc. Surely this makes is a season PREVIEW rather than a second review DVD but that aside they were supposed to be sent out in July.

Today is August. Anyone got their's yet?

This has become a JOKE. I know it is only a little free DVD but the first one was proper late as well and now this one, a season review, is coming out so late it is a preview DVD.

Also, what about people who didn't renew their season tickets?

I just think if the club can't get its finger out to do these things properly it shouldn't do them in the first place.

Nothing surprises me but The Insider seemed to get a bit touchy when asked about it responding something along the lines of 'It is still July is it not?' after saying previously they would go out in July.

This whole free DVD bonus thing has been a shambles.

Considering it was meant to be a 3 part DVD in the first place, I think it's fair to say the club has cocked this one up a TAD.

Pretty lucky to get a free DVD in my opinion. The season ticket holders do well out of the club. Numerous discounts, seats for £18 or so (including travel) and much more.

I pay as I go and generally go to 18-20 home games and all the home cup games. It doesn't really make sense to buy a season ticket as my old man normally attends 10 or so and it would be too difficult to get a seat next to my season ticket seat regularly, as he decides on the day more or less. I end up spending MORE than a STH on tickets and do not get any of the benefits AND they have not decreased the prices.

Does it really bother people that DVDs are not coming in on their predicted (rough) delivery date? What else does a STH want? A free hand job or cheese sandwich at each game?

STH don't do that well out of the club at all actually.

Other than getting the same seat every week that is pretty much it. I'm not saying they deserve anymore than that but the club shouldn't promise things like the free DVD and then not deliver.

Just another example of how poorly certain parts of the club are run.

Stop your moaning!
The reason it is being sent out at this time is so that it contains pre-season interviews with the new players and of course Micky as well as the review of the second half of last season.
I'm quite happy to wait as it contains the extra material and lets not forget that it is a FREE DVD after all - what is there to moan about?!

Plus it also makes sense to send it out with the season tickets to keep down postage costs.

More likely they realised how late it was coming out and added a couple of extra bits to justify it.

How long has Micky been here now? How long does an interview with him take? Respectfully I would suggest the additon of pre season preview material should not mean it comes out so long after the end of the season.

It was always the intention to send it out with the season tickets - what's your problem with that?

I think I'm pretty much with Richie on the timing issue. What is the moment in the summer when you turn from reflecting on last season, and start seriously getting into the next? For some it is the day after the last match, others not until August.

For me, I think mid-July latest, and if it's a season review it doesn't need stuff from a manager who wasn't even there.

But having said all that, even Chelsea have only just released their DVD in the last couple of days. Probably took them that long to come up with a way of explaining how losing everything was in fact a triumph.

I can't believe people are actually moaning about a FREE EXTRA being delayed a tiny bit. The club did not have to make the offer of free DVD's. If people just moan about them being slightly delayed they will just stop bothering and end up charging for them instead.

I do feel that some on here, and i think we all know who i'm talking about just love to have a pop at the club for every little thing.

Ok, the free DVD is a bit later than promised.... is it really that important ? Did anyone buy a season ticket on the back of a free DVD ?

Just seems to me every little thing that the club does is jumped on by some, even as far as slagging off the club for the sponsors company logo.... because of course we can control that can't we ?

I can see where Richie is coming from, this club does seem abit non-league at times.

The reason why i say this is that i applied for my season ticket for this year around the end of March time (deffinetly before April 5th when the early bird offer was originally no longer avalible)
Anyway the money still hasn't come out of my account and before the Lewes game i went upto the shop to ask what was happening as well as picking up an Ipswich and Barnet ticket and the guy behind the counter said that the manager isn't it and that they will give me a call on monday after they took my contact deatils. (can't fault that guy at all).
Well Lewes was 2 weeks ago, still haven't had a call, money still sitting in my account so what am i supose to presume?
I'm going to give it until the day of the Bristol Rovers game until i go up there again as can't see that selling out and hopefully i will know prior to then whats happening, Just kind of wished i have had some contact by the club by now...

On another note i ordered a new laptop from comet on thursday to be picked up yesterday, they had rung me within 10 minutes of my order on-line.

I didn't even bother watching the last free dvd in last seasons pack. After all why on earth would I want to relive the shit Wilkins served up the last season again ?.
