Hope he doesn't get him on, sick of the sound of Dick Knight's voice, there's only one thing worse, Martin Perry's.

If he was to speak to Harty, it'd be likely only to be about Falmer :bla:

So the most important development in this club's history isn't worth talking about then? Especially when it looks like it is starting to happen after a 10 year struggle.

if he does come on he will only agree if the usual LICKERS get on the phone on like dougdeep....all we will get is a love in....i love dick etc etc etc...from the LICKERS that would HATE as to became a big club again and for Knight to go as they would lose their little input and membership to the albion gentlemans club....

You do live in a strange, detached world don't you?

To become a 'big club again' means we have had to have been a big club in the past-something BHAFC has never been, even with 4 seasons in the top division.

I suppose the only difference is that Thomson can't win a ball in the air............can't win a tackle,............can't make a forward pass...........and doesn,t score as many goals as Hammond.

Just out of interest...............how many goals has Thomson scored in the 30-40 games he's "played" for us...?

Friend of mine originates from Colchester though has spent 20 years living in Surrey/Sussex. He's still in contact with friends back in Essex who follow Colchester ..... and they want there money back because Hammond can't tackle, can't head the ball, certainly can't pass and it appears he doesn't know what a goal is, apart from that he's a diamond signing.

1. Get Knight on to talk about Falmer, that is our only shining moment in this current doom & gloom
2. Get Knight to state exactly why Wilkins was let go, if he cant/wont then thats abit pathetic.
3. Get Knight to say on air "yes our league position is not very good and Mickey needs to pull his finger out"
4. Get Knight to tell the one about the Arab & the Jew who walk into a bar

Not really, no. Most of us are f***ing SICK of hearing about it. Just come back and tell us when it's done.

I'd rather he told us about why the board sacked a promising young manager and replaced him with a complete dud.

I keep forgetting the rules on here about former employees. Lets get this straight then.

Wilkins = Mourinho
Hammond = Gerrard
Albion under Wilkins = Barcelona
Albion under Adams = Forest Green Rovers

Anything else ?
Here is my take on it:

Wilkins = started off shakily, but moulded a team capable of challenging for promotion. Clearly there were issues with his management style and we would lose ridiculous matches at times, but we *were* progressing.

Hammond = decidedly average third division player who thought he was better than he was. No better or worse than Thomson, IMO.

Albion under Wilkins = sometime won fortunately, sometimes ground out results, managed to lose some matches we should never have lost. I was hoping he'd add some consistency this term which would have made all the difference.

Albion under Adams = Forest Green Rovers

I was always a Hammond fan...he always came up with the goods when it mattered, but he's gone now. One transfer that, despite his injuries, that no one has mentioned was the sale of Revell.

I think we've missed him more that we realise. I remember the hat trick he scored V Bournemouth last season. At that point he was on fire and starting to score goals for us. He also never failed to give less than 100%, which is clearly what we're missing now.

Unfortunately, IMHO, what we're seeing now is the result of too many loan players and bad decisions both on the playing front and tactically. Loan players aren't going to play their heart out week in week out for a team they're leaving who are languishing in near the relegation zone.

Also, if I were Adams, I'd eat humble pie and recall Lynch immediately and stick him along side Elphick, because our defence once again was undone by a couple of set pieces and these two are the best defensive partnership we've got.

If we continue in this vein of form upto Xmas, then I wouldn'ty expect Adams to be sacked, but instead resign. He's a proud man who loves Brighton and who wouldn't want to see the club get relegated.

I agree with most of your post, but assuming he could stay off the treatment table long enough to stake a claim, who would you drop out of Forster and Murray in order to accomodate Revell ?

I'd rather he told us about why the board sacked a promising young manager and replaced him with a complete dud.

It could be because...

1. ........ he compromised his position in the Dean Hammond saga, and lost the trust of the board in the process.

2. ......... he went missing claiming a mystery illness, that some thought was stress related, and the board felt he was unable to take on the pressures of management, but still felt he was an excellent coach.

If he does get him on I expect him to be even more tetchy than he was last time, DK does not take being questioned lightly and generally ends up getting angry. Even Harty has stopped being too confrontational with him.

I'm 18 years old, and have heard the excuse "well Falmer's here soon" and it's getting a little tiresome. The stadium is 3 years away, and we are in a situation at the minute. Yes we all want to move, but that's not happening soon, so the excuse of we're playing shit and could go down, but Falmer is on the way soon is getting a little lame.

Not that I am accussing you what-so-ever of saying that, but just trying to make my point.

But Falmer IS the most important thing to happen to the club since LONG before you were born.

In my opinion it is FAR more important than promotion or relegation because, without it, I believe that the club would be on a fast slide downwards in any case.

Why the problem with a DK interview? If you don't like to listen to him, don't.

Of course it's important. But if he's going to come on to talk about Falmer I'd rather he didn't bother, unless there is something we don't know already.

I'd rather he talked about the shocking league position and quality of football currently being served up, the reason behind Dean Wilkins being kicked out, the piss poor marketing and customer service under Ken Brown (who seems to be even shitter at his job than Micky Adams) or information over potential transfer targets / size of kitty in January.

Falmer is Knight's comfort zone. He needs to answer the more relevant day to day questions.

:lolol:

That's the first time I've heard Falmer described as a 'comfort zone' for anyone.
:lolol: He's comfortable talking about it, and spelling out why it's taking so long.

On the other hand, dare to criticise the board's choice of manager or why that simpleton from Millwall is running the marketing department, and he gets the right hump.

Agreed, but whatever question gets asked, he twists it into one of his pre prepared Falmer answers, answers which we all know by now. Thats what annoys me about fans forums.

It would make a much better listen if he was put under the pressure of onfield events, and potential ways to stop the rot

What can he say about the shocking league position? "It's shocking."?

DW - why should he tell us about a private employment matter?

It would be interesting to know about the club's marketing, but whatever he says there will always be those who, without knowing the state of the club's finances, will have plenty of 'brilliant' ideas about how the club is marketed.

Tell us about potential transfer targets? Why? How does that help anything? Size of kitty? And tell other clubs what we have/haven't got? Personally I'd rather we didn't hear ANY of that until a transfer is actually signed and sealed. Otherwise it just leads to endless, uninformed speculation.

NOTHING he says will appease some people.
