It would be interesting to know about the club's marketing, but whatever he says there will always be those who, without knowing the state of the club's finances, will have plenty of 'brilliant' ideas about how the club is marketed.

Tell us about potential transfer targets? Why? How does that help anything? Size of kitty? And tell other clubs what we have/haven't got? Personally I'd rather we didn't hear ANY of that until a transfer is actually signed and sealed. Otherwise it just leads to endless, uninformed speculation.

That's also another reason why it would be pointless going on the phone-in. It really doesn't matter what he says publicly, because some people will agree with it, and be happy with what he says, others won't, and will pick holes and issues with everything he has to say.

As for the team, I can't believe for one moment he isn't hurting massively at the moment, so what's the point of coming out and talking about the fact that our position is not good enough and it needs to improve etc etc... He knows that, we know that, the MANAGER knows that (yes he really does!!), so what's the point of the Chairman heaping more pressure on an already pretty poor situation?

As for why Wilkins was replaced, I think that's been done to death now, and Knight is not going to expand on what he has already said. It's time to forget about Wilkins, and start focusing everybody on what we need to do to get out of what is starting to become an unforseen mess.
