What is it about twitter that means you have to write in a way that is totally non-sensical and impossible to understand?

Harley deal held up by international clearance

Ryan Harley remains on course for a move to Albion - but not in time to be involved against Blackpool at The Amex on Saturday.

A £250,000 deal to bring the 26-year-old midfielder south from Swansea is in place but international clearance is required from the Welsh FA.

Swansea chief Brendan Rodgers said: "Ryan has probably seen that his chances will be limited here and he's at the age where he wants to play."

See tomorrow's Argus for the full story.

250k sounds like a bargain if he turns out to be as good as some on here suggest.

Why do we have to get international clearance to sign a player who plays for a club in the same FA as us!? The guy is not even from outside the EU either.

That's the point, despite the fact they play in a league run by the FA, they are affiliated to the FA of Wales and thus we have the ridiculous scenario that a player needs international clearance to leave them and join us.

Here
An International Clearance Form itself states that:-
“This form must be completed for a player who has previously played abroad (including Scotland, Wales
and Northern Ireland) and who is to be registered to play for a Club in England.”
It goes on to say:-
“It must be understood that the registration of the player who has previously played abroad will not be
accepted until The Football Association is in receipt of an International Registration Transfer Certificate
issued in his/her behalf by the former Association. The player must not register or play in England for any
Club at any level until his/her clearance has been received”

Thing is, as I understand it he hasn't actually played for Swansea yet - what a load of bureaucratic billy bollocks!!!

International clearence.....thats the biggest load of bollocks ive ever heard. If thats an Welsh fa thing then they should have there own league like the jocks and take nothing out of our game....What a great division that would be......tossers.
They do. The League of Wales.

The most ridiculous thing I have heard this week, possibly all summer.

One of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. They play in the English league - surely if they work in our country (every other weekend) they must have international clearance...

Was it you who said in a thread yesterday (can't find it anywhere) that we were in for Jamie Mackie? Just wondering as it would be a great signing if true. (sorry this has nothing to do with the current thread)
