There doesn't need to be a particular one. Gus picks a team for each match - witness last night. Who'd have thought he'd play NONE of the three wingers?

Depending on the opposition, Harley might play ahead of Sparrow, or Vince (in last night's set up). Equally it could be in place of Dicker, if we wanted a slightly more attacking stance. Or even in place of a winger.

Who knows? (Not the other manager, for a start...)

well said.

People on here often in the past cited Withers as one of the reasons why we could not attract some of our targets, but I never really thought it played that big a part in it - I was obviously wrong.

Washing their own kit was the problem, you fool....

Another excellent addition to the squad if it happens. A great footballer. It would mean should Bridcutt get injured or need a rest we have real quality to come into the team.

Eihter way it would be harsh to disrupt a winning team.

At least we have some genuine competition for almost every position now, with the exception of GK.

Headache time for Gus!

This is true, and perhaps I'm being overly harsh.

But if Harley can pick a pass well (Dicker's penchant), has a left food (Dicker's played side) and doesn't give the ball away (Dicker's biggest failing) then he should take that position. It will certainly be interesting and it will hopefully spur Dicker on to improve as a player too..

Dont know much about him but must be decent. Gus picks a team depending on the opposition. This signing doesnt mean the end for anyone.

Hopefully Dicker
Its a tough one, because although Dicker had a less than average game against Doncaster, he has been awesome against Pompey and last night..... Sparrow does nothing wrong either, and even Navarro looked mobile and alert when he cam on last night.

Hop on the Gus Bus Harley. Plenty of space for players of your calibre.

Oh really? Sorry wasn't aware- only managed the two against Doncaster and Gillingham! I suppose whoever is on form and best matches the opposition will play, in true Gus style

Has he signed yet?

No, but more importantly, what have you got to say about the Wiki entry?

At the moment, Harley needs to earn his place imho, he was Exeter City's best player last season, thats it, now he has to step up and show he can do it in a team that plays a different style in a higher division.

No. According to Gus a striker is the other priority and on the evidence of the Greer/Dunk partnership and with Vincelot and Cook as cover and elAbd and Elphick to come back who would dare disagree.
