I love the song, but there are two versions of it I prefer to Cohen's.

Oh and shut up Cian, don't even think of saying it. ;)

The documentary centered on how the song has a life of its own and the wide and varied covers of it. A number of people add their own words and just use the chorus to bring it all together....and this is one of the things which is so great about the song.

I'm nowhere near dying yet (hopefully - I'm 39!), but there's two songs that I know even now that I want at my funeral...

Hallelujah (by either Cohen or Cale), and GOSBTS...!

Jeff Buckley and, as unusual as it might seem at first glance, Bon Jovi:

Interesting Jovi cover.

I never heard Hallelujah before so I thought I would have a listen and see/hear for myself on youtube.....well, what a load of bollocks, talk about The Emporer's New Clothes.... if thats a classic song I'd rather have Cool For Cats by Squeeze or The State I'm In by Belle and Sebastian.. sorry Leonard, get yer coat.... you are the weakest link !
