and come to the conclusion that Lewis Dunk deserved a straight red for the very bad tackle on Billy Sharp. Dunk showed no signs of going for the ball, just looked to be going straight in to put Billy out of the game, which he did do with seemingly disastrous consequences for the rest of our barely born new season.

Lots of hard but fair tackles went in from both sides but some, again from both sides, were borderline dangerous.

The referee was not fit to referee a Sunday morning amateur game let alone a Championship game.

Rovers left Brighton tonight with two seemingly serious injuries that will definitely affect the season's prospects for us.

Thanks for nothing Brighton and Hove Albion Football club's players. Arseholes. I truly hope your season ends in tatters and you go back down the pan.

The majority of pundits, fans and assorted harbingers of doom and gloom have us for relegation this season, I don't think we will go down but if we do I'll take much pleasure in seeing Brighton and Hove Albion's name on the papers going down with us.

Poyet played thuggishly when he was playing and it seems that he wants his squad to play that way too. I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't seem like it at the moment.

The best thing about today was seeing your nice bright shiny new stadium. It's nice and I hope you're very happy there.

I dont get why they hate for our fans and our club because of a mistimed challenge, you obviousally dont know Dunk, he is not a nasty player and no way would he have intended to hurt Sharp, maybe to show him he was in a game but apart from the goal i dont think Sharp looked much danger to us.
The 2nd half when we got our 2 wingers on just dominated the game and should have done this from the start, im pleased you said one nice thing about our stadium as its amazing, but a shame that these comments is to me very over the top

a bitter donny fan i see....

I lost count of the amount of nasty challenges that were put in by your players on LuaLua, and as you rightly mentioned the Ref was hopeless, but he was the cause of a lot of the problems. It was because of him that things were boiling over on the pitch.

I know you probably wont agree, but he was giving Donny loads of decisions that clearly weren't correct.

Anyway i am sorry that Billy was injured, that will be a blow to your side, but i am confident brighton and Donny will still be in the championship at the end of the year.

Having just seen it on the League show I disagree - tried to play the ball ..... albeit badly !

I can recall, a few bad challenges from your players today. I am not making excuses, as no fan likes to see players leave on stretchers. But that said I believe that there was no intent from Dunk, if there was then you are correct and he deserves a red. Hopefully the injuries are not too serious and you can look forward to a return visit next season in the Championship

Think you will find Coppinger's challenge on Barnes was far more dangerous, Lucky he didnt break his ankle!!!

This has shown to me that Donny fans bad sport, they were doing some real dirty challenges themselves and then when we do one mistimed challenge they spit dummys out, truly pathetic.
Like say they got the rub of the green by the officials eg booking lua lua for a dive which to me was a pen or free kick cant remember where was, and they did a couple of very dirty challenges on lua lua and Barnes but thats okay is it donny because you didnt break his leg ?
The ref and lineman today were shocking and we didnt really get one decision but we still dominated the game and if we would have put away them 3 clear cut changes eg 1st half which was cleared off near line, barnes one on one with keeper and then Noone's chance.
But we still managed to win the game but doncaster fans doing best to ruin a great occassion and day for us with all this over the top comments on dunk

Purely on the basis of the Football League Show highlights, Doncaster looked like a team of meatheads intent on clattering as many Brighton players as possible. If Sharp's out for any length of time then they're doomed, as they didn't seem to have anything else going for them at all.

Unfair analysis I think. Thought your side played very good football and certainly derserved the half time lead and a draw overall. Our subs changed the game and you had desperately bad luck with injuries. Sorry you're so angry. I genuinely hope you have a good season.

I thought the referee acted quite sensibly with all the tackles, too many players are getting sent off, in my view, for hard but not unreasonable tackles. I thought the worst challenge of the day came from Naylor, but even then I thought that a yellow card was sufficient. Apart from that the referee was distinctly unimpressive

The challenge on Barnes looks worse and worse the more I see it and I am afraid that was more of a sending off than dunks tackle on sharp

"not a nasty player" "no way would he have intended to hurt Sharp". Come on, that challenge was intended to put Billy out of the game, maybe not to the severity of being strechered off but still wanted our star man out of the way. Your players couldn't cope with him in the first half, be fair about that at least.

And to Slinky, yes I am bitter and every right to be so. LuaLua is no choirboy and puts himself about, I suspect that's the reason why he's at your club. He knows all the tricks of a Premiership player and tried a few on today - especially that outrageous dive for a penalty.

It will be interesting to see at the end of this season just how many red cards BHAFC have picked up. Quite a few I suspect.

Surely the injury to Sharp was caused mostly by the way he fell, rather than Dunk's tackle. It was certainly from behind, but he wasn't high up and he didn't lunge into it. Bad timing is all. However, I have only seen the replay once, and I'll have to check again.

Still, I think the ref got this card right, at least. LuaLua shouldn't have been booked and god DAMN some of Donny's tackles were dangerous.

Not the way we play, friend. Don't even try it.
I admit you had us first half in midfield, but you didn't worry our defence apart from say, three occasions.

Strange - the TV pictures suggest otherwise ! But don't let facts get in the way of your rant.

As Donny have 7 players already with injuries and now another 2, it makes you wonder about their training. Maybe your club ought to get another fitness coach.

What else did Sharp do ? i wasnt that worried about him or anyone in your team, yes you had more possession but we played awful in 1st half and didnt play our usual game, i was more disappointed with my own team.
But 2nd half we performed as did last year and we totally dominated the game, we deserved to win, as scored 2 goals, had one virtually cleared off line, and 2 one on ones with keeper.
You can say what you want about dunk and brighton but you had a much more dirty team than we did and you got the rub of the green by the officials
