LuaLua is no choirboy and puts himself about, I suspect that's the reason why he's at your club. He knows all the tricks of a Premiership player and tried a few on today - especially that outrageous dive for a penalty.

Is that the "outrageous dive" where one of your players clearly ran into his back?

and come to the conclusion that Lewis Dunk deserved a straight red for the very bad tackle on Billy Sharp. Dunk showed no signs of going for the ball, just looked to be going straight in to put Billy out of the game, which he did do with seemingly disastrous consequences for the rest of our barely born new season.

Lots of hard but fair tackles went in from both sides but some, again from both sides, were borderline dangerous.

The referee was not fit to referee a Sunday morning amateur game let alone a Championship game.

Rovers left Brighton tonight with two seemingly serious injuries that will definitely affect the season's prospects for us.

Thanks for nothing Brighton and Hove Albion Football club's players. Arseholes. I truly hope your season ends in tatters and you go back down the pan.

The majority of pundits, fans and assorted harbingers of doom and gloom have us for relegation this season, I don't think we will go down but if we do I'll take much pleasure in seeing Brighton and Hove Albion's name on the papers going down with us.

Poyet played thuggishly when he was playing and it seems that he wants his squad to play that way too. I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't seem like it at the moment.

The best thing about today was seeing your nice bright shiny new stadium. It's nice and I hope you're very happy there.

Had time to reflect on these comments - Total bollocks

"not a nasty player" "no way would he have intended to hurt Sharp". Come on, that challenge was intended to put Billy out of the game, maybe not to the severity of being strechered off but still wanted our star man out of the way. Your players couldn't cope with him in the first half, be fair about that at least.

And to Slinky, yes I am bitter and every right to be so. LuaLua is no choirboy and puts himself about, I suspect that's the reason why he's at your club. He knows all the tricks of a Premiership player and tried a few on today - especially that outrageous dive for a penalty.

It will be interesting to see at the end of this season just how many red cards BHAFC have picked up. Quite a few I suspect.

Sounds like you got as good as you give!!!

Honestly don't be so silly, you're quite clearly wound up and trying to wind us up in turn. It wasn't a terrible challenge it was just a mistimed one and if anything I think it was the fall not the challenge that hurt Sharp so much. How, if you're not trollin' can you ignore the shocking tackle on Barnes? I got this text from a Norwich supporting mate during the highlights.

"How did half of these Doncaster players not get sent off?"

That was DONCASTER, not BRIGHTON, it's sad to see such an angry person because tbh before the hour mark I thought you were the better team, but oh well, 3 points, cheers.

You were lucky not have a player sent off today. It is hugely hypocritical to suggest our players are thuggish. Your players were no better. You're obviously upset to have lost a couple of key players but to come on here moaning and giving a completely biased and distorted view of things, makes you sound like a very sore loser. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Is it absolutely imperative that each of your posts is full of shit?

Feel free to stop any time you like. You're only embarrassing yourself now.

Doncaster didnt like it that we was also good on the ball and they got a bit of own medicine, we not a team who will just run off scared, we have a bunch of players who will battle but not one of them is a dirty player.
I thought doncaster played well for 1st half but from the start of 2nd half we looked way the better team and i wouldnt actually want one Doncaster player in the brighton team including billy sharp, yeah he is a good goalscorer but what else did he do ? Greer and dunk had him in pocket all afternoon

Oldpopsider - watch the highlights. Then you won't be able to come back on here with straight face and repeat what you've already said. Doncaster very clearly the dirtier side, LuaLua was clearly ran into, and there was no intent at all from Dunk. That's an impressive level of wrong you've managed there.

You clearly haven't had time to reflect. Most of the bad tackles were from Donny. It was unfortunate that Sharp got injured, I hope he recovers quickly.
Poyet played thuggishly when he was playing and it seems that he wants his squad to play that way too. I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't seem like it at the moment.
At the moment? He's been with us for a season and a half, and given your judgement, I assume you've seen a total of 1 game.

The best thing about today was seeing your nice bright shiny new stadium. It's nice and I hope you're very happy there.
Thanks, although given your post I'm not sure you're being genuine.

This has shown to me that Donny fans bad sport, they were doing some real dirty challenges themselves and then when we do one mistimed challenge they spit dummys out, truly pathetic.
Like say they got the rub of the green by the officials eg booking lua lua for a dive which to me was a pen or free kick cant remember where was, and they did a couple of very dirty challenges on lua lua and Barnes but thats okay is it donny because you didnt break his leg ?
The ref and lineman today were shocking and we didnt really get one decision but we still dominated the game and if we would have put away them 3 clear cut changes eg 1st half which was cleared off near line, barnes one on one with keeper and then Noone's chance.
But we still managed to win the game but doncaster fans doing best to ruin a great occassion and day for us with all this over the top comments on dunk

No not bad sports but realistic. If you bothered to read what I put properly you will see that I said there was bad tackles from both sides. My comments are made from an unblinkered aspect and I will readily agree that some Rovers tackles were borderline dangerous. Unlike some, I see two teams playing in a game and watch the performances of both teams not just the one. I like to see a fully rounded picture - not a very skewed one sided one. I've been watching football for 50+ years now and think I know what constitutes fair and open play against poor and dirty play.

I stand by what I said about Dunk. Sorry but I think it won't be long before he's the first one in the bath at some game in the future. He's got to learn to control the way he tackles and tackle properly - not foolishly like he did today. I haven't seen the game on tv so haven't got the benefit of that wonderful thing called hindsight.

Well your going to regret your comments and if like you said you been watching football for 50 years thought you might know to not jump to conclusions and insult our players and team, when its your team that was dirty and also that the challenge that hurt Sharp wasnt that dirty it was more way he fell.
You said your comment was unblinkered hmm yeah okay, we have been pretty decent saying we hope sharp is okay but i think these stupid comments by doncaster fans starting to grate on our nerves now.

and with that he proved himself to be a troll or an idiot. and there was much rejoicing, for we didn't have to give a shit about his hissy fit childish myopic rant any longer.

sharp was never a danger in himself. the greatest danger was when we dithered in the middle and gifted donny possession with space to romp into on the counter attack. anyway, much as the poster is a troll or moron - i still hope sharp is not too badly injured. donny started with the dishing out and it is a shame in giving some back he got so badly injured.

Old popsider , I'm sure you will reflect on the contents of your post tomorrow and realise it lacks any respect.
I disagree that Dunk on reflection should have gone for this one tackle but perhaps may have gone for a series of clumsy tackles that would eventually have resulted in a red card. On that basis we should have lost a player too.

I do agree that the physical side of Brighton's game at times was nothing less than over the top and the referee was their 12th. man. It happens to all teams on these occasions.
However they have won the game and to call all Brighton fans 'arseholes' is at best churlish and at worst spiteful.

Either side could have won that game today and the state of the pitch (soaked) made clumsy tackles look downright dangerous. We should have won the game but if you come out with a negative attitude in the 2nd. half you probably deserve to lose , shame it was in that way and losing those players.

I totally agree Dicker got caught on the ball which led to the goal and apart from one other chance by Sharp, not that worried by doncaster as a team, yeah tidy on ball but no danger.
I wasnt that impressed with Billy sharp i thought he had more to his play than just his finishing, Dunk and Greer controlled him and other forwards Easily
