It's interesting watching Ipswich. They are very much a passing side, playing out from the back and are the leading scorers in all four divisions.
I'm sure Kieran McKenna will be mentioned as a possible replacement for RDZ when he does eventually depart.
Although I reckon if Ipswich do get promoted I would imagine he will make the same decision as Xabi Alonso and stay with his current players. He is only 37 and has plenty of time in front of him.

It really wasn’t.

He came in and the change was instant. Watford away first game, won 3-0. Two strikers off the bench at 1-0. Both scored. That set the tone.

We played lovely football in the majority of his games in charge, yes even in most of the games during the bad runs. There was only the odd game here and there where there wasn’t a decent performance and plenty of “big chances” to win games. The finishing let him down big time.

And if you actually think it was horrific then surely the season before under Hughton was even more horrific?
Covid saved the season short memories we weren’t good at all before the pandemic and sliding down the table.

It was in seasons 2 and 3 where there were incredibly long spells of toothless PL football.

26/09/20 to 13/01/21
27/09/21 to 02/04/22

Months of football with barely a win or a goal. Gawd it was dull.

I’m quite enjoying some say RDZ is top targets for the top jobs while others say he won’t make the short list. Almost like the supposed ITK have no idea what’s going to happen

You mean there are some humble managers around who don’t feel the need to jump ship when a bigger club flashes their knickers. We don’t seem to have much luck finding one. I often wonder if the club self promoting the stepping stone image is the best move. We will never build a successful side for more than one season and any manager who strings a few wins together suddenly gets bored with the project and wants to move on.
As a fan it's somewhat demoralising knowing we had a side to really push on and achieve something yet come the summer it’s ripped to shit and back to the drawing board.

I was leaving at 70 minutes during some latterday Hughton games.

I have a feeling that we have a somewhat disgruntled manager who is quite possibly going to become even more disgruntled if he misses out on all the jobs he’s been touted for. I can see a falling out and departure before next season starts. Just another gut feeling. When I started this thread I voted that he’d be here next season, I am no longer convinced he will be as I think he has had his head turned by the praise and media touting, coupled with his demands in January not being met and the downturn in performances. We’ll find out soon enough.

:lolol:. Expert insight on what goes on in RDZ's head there. Impressive work.

I cant see why anyone would want him. I say that based on some recent form and results, sure his hands are somewhat tied with injuries etc but arent all teams in same position? What team above us/bigger than us would want him? Overall Im happy with him here so Ihope he doesnt go. If he does Eddie Howe be perfect.
It’s rare I read a post where I disagree with every single line 🤣

The second season was Potter's biggest disgrace

Imagine having a squad with these players and only finishing 16th. It's laughable
