we have done well to do what we have done this season, and always had a hard run in, fringes of play offs would have been quite acceptable pre season!
admittedly a very strange line up at whu, tho don't think our best side would've won there that day.
as for today, felt a bit low key all round, tho good second half,
and anyway, wasn't it gus who has got that squad over achieving and into play off places with a month to go?
(not saying he is god/perfect)...

His team selection on occasions would highlight this. But as frustrating as it is sometimes we are now an established championship team who should still finish in the top half. As a club we are heading in the right direction. And let's face it Prem footy would have been too soon for us regardless of the excitement of it all.

Oh my goodness. What a cock. I'm sure most rational people would still have taken 10th six weeks ago. The team (managed by Gus at that point too I seem to recall) had done remarkably well to put themselves in a position to challenge for the play-offs. However, anyone with at least half a brain (I'm afraid you're disqualified), still realised that there was every chance we might not be able to sustain that sort of form throughout a very busy run-in. Pretty much everyone I spoke to felt we'd probably fall just short (in the same way that we've been close but not quite the finished article when it's come to killing games off). So we've tailed off and will finish in a position that reflects the season pretty accurately. And, thanks to Gus, what fantastic entertainment it's been and a great effort considering how far we've come since his arrival. The building process continues.

Exactly Right! some proper twats on here lately.
What a great season we have had. After an eternity in League One we get back into the Championship, with a side with some clear weaknesses, GK, Strength in midfield and an out and out goalscorer, full backs etc etc. I would've taken 4th from bottom. Hopefully next season, with some additions we will have a side who can challenge. This is a team most of whom have never played at this level, we also sold our best player in the summer remember, some of them were bound to come up short. Poyet needs and deserves some time to build a side for this division, we should have a bigger budget next season, I for one cannot wait for it to start...

What a pair of tits. we out performed most of our expectations. There has been may be the odd strange decision, but Gus owned up to them. A virus didn't help at the beginning of the run in didn't help either.
