The man oozes class, speaks sense and is going to be one of the Worlds best managers. This guy will one day win the Champions League and may even go on to winning the World Cup. I for one believe we are privileged to have the best manager apart from perhaps Fergie in this country.

After next season, once promotion to the Premiership, there is going to be a binfest in getting him by all the top clubs. He is the real CHOSEN ONE.

I think you are RIGHT

He will manage Chelsea one day, and will probably be the first manager to win them the champions league. Not yet though, his work is not yet complete here.

Gus Poyet told Goals on Sunday that Brighton need to sign more quality to compete in the Championship next season.

The Seagulls boss was on the Sky Sports sofa in the week that he led the South Coast club to promotion as League One champions, but he admits he has already started thinking about next year.

Brighton have dominated League One this season - they sealed the title with four games to go and could top the 100-point mark by the end of the campaign - but despite their achievements Poyet says he is looking to sign several new players in the summer.

And he insists there is a lot of work to be done to ensure his team will be able to compete with sides like Cardiff who can attract international players of the calibre of Craig Bellamy.
He told Goals on Sunday: "We are in a good situation for a manager because we've got half the team nearly finishing their contracts, which gives you the option to have a look around and plan very well.

"Of course you need more quality, there's no doubt about that, without upsetting the way that we've been training and the way that we've been playing.

"It has to be a really specific target that we're going to bring someone in for a lot. I've been watching the Championship a lot and with all respect to the League One players, there's no-one as good as Craig Bellamy. I hope he goes up so we don't have to play him!

"They have better players and of course there are Premier League players playing in the Championship. There are not many Premier League players playing in League One, so you need more quality."

Believe

Poyet says he is not planning a complete overhaul of his squad and will try to hold on to some of the stars of his promotion-winning side.

And he says he has drawn inspiration from Norwich, Leeds and Millwall who were promoted from League One last season and are now competing near the top of the Championship.

"I believe in the players I've got," he said.

"If you look at Norwich, they are outstanding. They are strong and they are a group of players together with a manager leading them.

"We got in touch with Andrew Crofts, who left us in the summer and you can see in the way he talks how confident he is. It's the same for Leeds and Millwall, so it is possible.

"I don't want to change the whole team, I would never do that, but I want to be able to get better every year, even if it is slowly. If you're getting better that means you're doing the right things.

"As soon as you go and get 10 players and it doesn't work then you've got a massive problem."

Convince
Poyet also discussed the secrets of his success and he said that after a strong finish to last season, he was able to make his players believe in themselves.

And after a moderate start to this season, he says that away wins at Plymouth, Charlton and Peterborough in September and October convinced his players that they could go all the way.

He said: "You cannot convince a player if you're not winning, there's no chance. You can say whatever you want, train the way you want but then if you go and lose on Saturday nothing happens.

"So there were key moments in the previous season where we played well and were getting close. Then we started winning. We finished last season very well and that was they key. The players felt this was the way.

"Then you add a few things. We were lucky enough to sell a couple of players and with the money bring in the right players to fill the team. It was a challenge for me. It wasn't easy, but if you do it the right way and do the research you can do it.

"We started the season normal. It was not spectacular, we were in the middle, seventh or eighth.

"Then we had a game in hand because Plymouth had international players in international week and we went there and played very, very well. We really believed in what we were doing.

"Then a couple of weeks later we went to Charlton. We had the chance to see if we could do something special at The Valley. Special means winning 1-0 in the last minute, but we went and beat Charlton 4-0 away from home. If you saw the faces of the players, they started believing.

"Then Peterborough was our best game of the season without any doubt. It's true they lost a player after 25 minutes, but we were already winning 1-0 and we were a top-class team then.

"Then it clicked. This was the way. We maintained it and kept it going."

Er, well he's a very good manager and we're very lucky Tony recognised his potential. But I think you may be over egging it a little.

"I will manage Chelsea"

If I was Abramovich I'd take a punt on him right now, fortunately he is obsessed with getting managers who have won big already.
