He is flailing a bit with his comments post ipswich. We weren't that bad were we, against a good side away from home? The only really poor performance this season was palace. I hope these comments are simply to appease the impatient fans and he's not acting like this on the training pitch

I am not that happy with the phrase "....Vicente.....did what we wanted him to do in defence..." I dont want him as a defensive midfielder, I want him to cut teams to shreds with incisive runs and passes.

Were they really a shambles (apart from the obvious)? Ipswich have premiership players in the Championship and the Leeds game we were equal to them. I see this more as an incentive to players rather than condemning them.
This. People need to simmer down a bit and let gus do his thang.

I thought we were very poor. Second to everything and had absolutely no fight. Leicester were no better than us on a good day. That's where the drop in performance started this season.

And thats where our main problem is. Bridcut is excellent but he is not happy just sitting in front of our back four, and that is what we need at the moment just to offer some protection. With so many attack minded players in the side you do need someone who is happy just to be destructive.
Our other problem is that the midfield is lop-sided and there is often not any midfield cover for one of the full backs. Painter is coming in for a lot of flack on here but it is often him that is left without any cover.

Leicester was a shocking performance, worse than Palace. Could have been 6-0 and you wouldn't have complained.

Also Barnes needs to start alongside CMS. When he went up front in the second half against Leeds (instead of playing in that withdrawn role) he set up both goals for CMS and scored himself.

and yes i went to both, Palace only seems worse because are our rivals, but could have been 2/3 up after first 20 mins.
