How embarrassing was that.

Who on earth thinks football fans want to watch dancing anyway? That shit belongs on X-factor

You have a point here. Cheer leaders/dance troupes should be in the same category as goal music when it comes to football.

I stay in my seat for half time as I like to listen to the guests with RR. I dont really take any notice of the Gullys Girls usually but yesterday was really bad. Yellow hoodies, poor dance routines and just a general feeling of what the fook was that about.

If there gonna make a new group at least put them in Blue and white not bright yellow!

And to a previous post on here people saying that the Boys in the group must be Gay, Were in Brighton they must know there gonna get a bit of stick whether its wrong or not.

Bring back the marching band.

I genuinely support this. I've even said it could be a 'stomp' like modern band, but I think kids and adults alike would have a renewed enthusiasm we a decent pre-match marching band. They've been out of the game too long!!

Awful - just not a positive image to project - why dance in yellow/black ? this Group doesn't represent the club at all unlike Gully Girls who at least danced in our colours - street dance maybe more modern but as someone who has 2 daughters who used to do this the routine on Saturday was shambolic and in my opinion a step backwards for the club.

Clothes + males. Both good changes if we have to keep them. It's only for kids afterall.

My kids couldnt give a toss about GG tbh Albumen - more interested in eating their hotdogs or reading the programme when the game isnt on....in the family stand I'd say the kids are more interested in watching the players warm up & none round us take much notice of the dancing.

Get rid of them altogether I say.

You really think he sits in his office and plans that sort of thing to the finest detail...? Blimey.

That was my point. :/ I don't understand why his name has been branded about, can't imagine he has much interest in it, they hardly sell tickets.

What an embarrassment. Male dancers... We don't help ourselves on the gay front do we.

Gully's girls did need a change. But not this. Hate to say it, but they could learn a lot from the Crystals!

I also think the club should pay them!

I WANT GULLY GIRLS BACK!

This isn't right. Street dancing, men in this outfit and Jesus Christ the colours, holy shit.

What does that mean? Are you saying you're embarrassed by gay males?

No Al, I don't think he is.

The way I read that was thus:

We, as a football club, are at almost every game played home or away, subjected to taunts relating to our sexuality based on the demographic make up of Brighton and Hove. We have just decided that a troupe of very good looking girls would look better with blokes in it.

I didn't see him saying anything relating to being embarassed by gay males, just maybe giving more ammunition to the more special ones who follow football that this in some way makes all of us gay, not that being gay is a bad thing.

That's the way I read it, it gives other teams more ammunition for taunts, by adding males into 'Gullys Girls' it just adds to the stereotype.

Unofficially I am lead to understand that Gully's Girls are no more partly because Becs doesn't have the time to run it any more. Not sure how this fits in with Jo leaving suddenly (was their ever an explanation) or with the wider Albion in the Community project. I believe the wider Gully's Girls session during the week were very popular and that many attendees are disappointed that it has finished. Info comes via an ex attendee of the mid week sessions but cant say how accurate it is.

We should have an all male dance troupe dressed like this and have them dance right in front of the away end non stop from 1:30 till kick off.

When I heard they had got rid of Gullys girls, I thought that at last the club had listened and realised that most dont want dance troops as they dont want goal music or teenagers banging drums as that is tin pot for tin pot clubs like palace. Then I read further and realised that the middle management at the Albion are as daft as they always were.
