Absolutely agree. It’s not just the number and consistency of the goals and assists it’s the importance of some of those goals as well. He has scored some absolutely crucial and iconic goals for us.

Can't be bothered to check all 12 pages to see if anyone else pointed this out, but from when the free kick was taken by Everton, Gross started running from the Brighton penalty spot all the way to Pickford to chip it over him for his goal. Surely a contender for Goal of the Season if anyone else noticed. Incredibly timed run from arguably our slowest yet most tactically aware player.

I've just forensically watched Pascal's goal, and have one question:-
At the exact moment the free kick missed everyone how did PG know Gana was going to lose his head 5 seconds later?
Other than Pervis chasing down the ball, nobody is moving - except Groß.
While he, and only he, is running out of our box he's directing Mitoma.
PG then doesn't run to block the defender on his right.
He doesn't run to get to Pickford.
Pascal is running the perfect angle to collect the pass from Gana.
When standing, defending our 6 yard line, Pascal already knew he was going to score.
This could be a case for Mulder and Scully.

He was actively orchestrating the midfield especially when the subs were made.

I know right... I thought RDZ (or he had noticed from other games) had told him that Pickford isn't exactly accurate in his passing and that if he got in front of the defenders, he'd might pressure Pickford into putting it into a throw rather than passing his central defenders. Don't think he could read the future and that Gueyes pass would be that poor. Unless Gueye has a tendency of doing that, but nothing I'm aware of.
Was a great run. I've decided to ignore that despite his 20m advantage both the CBs pretty much catched up with him, though it should be said that it shows how much excellent football intelligence can compensate for a lack of pace.

I've watched it a fair few times and I figured (for some reason – he didn't need to at 3-0 up), Groß expected it to go to the defender and gambled, or thought that Pickford was too far away and that he might beat him to the ball. Or maybe he just wanted to show off his pace!
