I didn’t mean that was a moment, just part of that amazing England team.
Simon Jones was my absolute favourite player in that Ashes series.

The last time England won in Australia? We normally get thrashed when we visit there.
Linford Christie Olympic 100m gold has to be on the list
Nb I think that Torville and should be in the list. It was in the Olympics which makes it officially a sport . There scores were absolutely perfect too
Mo Farah’s cool destruction of everyone at Olympics and World Championships.
Wasn't that part of Super Saturday?

1966 World Cup final for me. The trouble is that when you get this at the age of 11, how can you follow it?
1954 - Roger Bannisters 3 minute mile
You're lucky to have it in the car - on most car radios it isn't available!Fully agree that it was one of the greatest English / British sporting moments ever. Just a shame it wasn't available on terrestial TV. I heard the final few overs on the radio as I happened to be in the car on my own and it was gripping stuff. My sports-mad kids, however, don't even know it happened and most likely never will, or will only have a passing interest measured in nano-seconds.
Non-terrestial TV coverage will strangle cricket in this country all the while heroics like today are not freely available for all to watch and marvel in. Shame.
