We do other managers team talks for them. “The Albion have:
1. No pace in their squad.
2. No true pace up front.
3. A midfield 40 yards from their striker.
4. Izquierdo never looks up when attacking & gives the ball away.
5. They never change fornation.
6. Go at them from the whistle, they have no pace”.

In their under-stated manner, that’s shirley damning of the club’s PL recruitment and coaching.

We’ve been found out and unlike earlier in the season dunk and Duffy aren’t bailing us out.
Total mess.

Adrian Harmes superb tonight- listened on way back and nailed it - our 3 mega flop signings of 50m (Loco, Ali J, Izzy) have done nothing- who will carry the can for this utter shambles!!? ??

Seeing Stephens pass that ball out for a throw in on the half way line was pitiful. He looks scrambled. It's such a shame as we started the season really well.

Harmes and Cantor surprisingly venture their opinions, not always favourable to players and the club. I like that; not doormats afraid of upsetting the club.

Surely number 7 in the list should be "we are predictable in every way". Throw-ins, corners, free kicks. We even do the same ****ing kick off every game

Not even all the problems. All over the park we are weak.
CB pairing have been found wanting against any sort of mobility. At this level Duffy really needs moving.
Montoya positioning is some of the worst I’ve seen for a RB
Bernardo - good player good signing but a lot stillntonlearn

Midfield is very poor at this level.
Propper has something but needs to play at 10 as he did before coming here.
Stephens currently offers nothing defensively or attack wise to slow and passing appalling. No idea what Kayal has to do to get a game
Gross not a number 10 lacks pace and mobility to be playing there. If anywhere at moment he should be the one to pick the ball up In front of the back 4
Not 1 of the 4 alleged wingers offer anything at this level. None of can beat a man consistently or cross a ball consistently
CF - we are relying on a 37 year old to get goals. Andone jury’s our but he’s one who looks like something may happen from and Locadia just more wasted cash.

Sure Dan Ashworth is in to try and address but that £50 million on Ali J locadia and Izzy could have been spent so much better.
Brooks at Bournemouth 12 million quid
Woods burnley 12 million quid
Should have spent some money on players like James at Swansea all players who would want to prove themselves but we didn’t look at them

Good post, good points.

Winstanley and Hughton must be concerned about their jobs just now.

Propper and Gross are luxury players, who sadly have zero pace to track back when we lose the ball. Modern teams tend not to carry them, everyone must have some mobility and pace. We can only carry one such player, if the other 9 outfield players can cover for them.

Very good analysis agree with most of this

real problem is, nothing there that wasnt noted 6 months ago or earlier. and too much reliance on a single attacker without the team (pace to getup and support) to actually make that work reliably.

That they are. To top it off we brought a number 10 who can score and create and play him deep where he offers no protection to the back 4 and play him alongside an even slower player in Stephens and also bring in a deep lying CM from an outstanding 2 years in the German top flight and decide he should play at 10.
The 3 together have been found out, Bournemouth in dire form showed how easy it was to get at the back 4 just by using quick players who have a bit of ability. Fraser Wilson king and Brooks were like kids in a sweetshop. Even Cardiff tonight brought their wingers off the line as they knew with the ace they had they could get straight through and at the back 4

We made Bournemouth look like City on Saturday, and Cardiff like a top six side tonight. Gutless, spineless performances. I feel better now.

They said that very point, had always said we should have invested in January.
