Thinking of that holiday!? Went to the Gower surfing a while ago, had a great time and realised, there must be great holidays and adventures to be had in our country. Some cheap and interesting trip / holiday recommendations, or stories if you want.

Went to Isle of Mull last summer - absolutely beautiful. The only downside was seeing a git in a Palace shirt one evening - our eyes met across a deserted beach, he knew what I was, I could see what he was. Ruined my holiday, I'd totally relaxed by that time as well, but the stress came flying back. C*nt.

If you want a good seaside holiday, with some inland excursions ... Whitby, Southwold, Broadstairs, Falmouth, Tenby, Porthmadog. If you want some off-shore trips ... Oban.

We stayed near Henly-in-Arden for a few days. Only a few miles from Stratford, took the kids to Warwick Castle, Cadbury World and also the Tamworth Snowdome (family day includes swimming, toboganning and ice skating). Some great places to eat nearby. Totally different to our usual holiday but made a nice change.

Here, there and everywhere
Ive heard the Isle of Eigg is good to visit.

Eigg is lovely, with beautiful scenery, good walking and no traffic. Also Skye, Harris and Lewis. There's also an overnight train you can get up to the Highlands, and you wake up there with scenic views.

We're off to Cheddar later on in the year; not just cheese but loads of Zyder, and plenty else to see in the area.

The Isle of Wight always gets overlooked, loads to do there as well.

And if you are really adventurous - St Kilda!
