As said earlier Dave's Diner was superb before they buggered off to France. I now go to H's on Coombe Road which is very nice AND they've just upgraded the sausages! Lovely for £6.25

Now the Market Diner and that other 24hour place on the seafront are rank, end of. See if you like it sober, I cant even eat that garbage when im smashed.

Ps I may try some of the other places you fatties have put up on here, but DONT let me down!

Repeating what Mendoza says, Motu at the bottom of trafalgar road is quality.

However I am slightly biased a my father in law Pete owns.Despite being a spurs fan he has loads of funny Albion stories from days gone by as was and still is very good friends with Maybank and Fozzy. In fact he is actually the subject of jimmy cases final story at his after dinner speeches-something about being arrested at the albions fancy dress Christmas party.

Despite this bias I'd still eat there if I had to pay

There's a place on Western Rd in hove, can't remember the name but it's above a rustic furniture shop. Bit pricey but lovely breakfasts. And if you just been paid The Meadow in hove is great.

I visited a mate at Uni in Cardiff many years ago and we visited two greasy spoons. One was called Ramones and my God! It was shocking. Black grease with footprints in it all over the floor and steps, filthy napkins, cutlery and tablecloths. The food was gross, sloppy sausages, liver instead of bacon, foul. All served to you by the owners children aged about 11 and 13, always working there even on schooldays. Nearby was it's rival..TWATT's. Standing for Tea With All The Trimmings. It's big breakfast was simply titled "Better than Ramones". Those were the days.

Ramones was so famous for being disgusting that folks in the local area started naming their farts after the placeOne of my Mates friends said as he appeared at the house breakfast table (in welsh accent) "You'll have to forgive me boys, I did a Ramones in the lounge earlier"

I don't really expect to live much longer so may as well enjoy each day as it comes. Life expectancy is not on my radar. There is another one near Waders that does a great mixed grill at £ 4.90.

Come off it Uncle, your entire career requires 25 year foresight !
