undoubtedly the best was Grahams/ Brunswick breakfast bar ... whatever it was called in Brunswick Street West ..... bloody marvellous a shocking loss to the area along with The Star of Brunswick with its little cellar club ... halcyon days

What has happened to the Star of Brunswick, used to do a lot of late nite 'entertaining' in the little known late cellar bar

Billies off Western Road used to be damn good - haven't been for a while so wonder if it is still worthy of recommendation? Can't beat a good fry up every once in while, it's good for morale.

Here's a question: do any of your preferred breakfast venues offer a decent fresh smoked kipper? That's another great breakfast and full of healthy fish oils etc. washed down with loads of tea and bread & butter. However you do have to be in the right mood for that. Mrs. SoC isn't keen on the lingering aroma from cooking kippers at home so I occasionally head out for a treat.

The Market Diner 'Gutbuster' featured on the BBC 'Holiday' programme bout 20 years ago establishing it's reputation as the most famous breakfast in the World. Marvellous

I can recommend the Kitchen Cafe at the bottom of Trafalger Street. You can get different variations of a fry up in there for around £4
which is great for that area. Nice italian gentleman been there years apparently. I always judge my fry-ups on the quality of the sausage
and here the Kitchen Cafe excels. None of your arse, ear and snout meat.
best in brighton without doubt

Billies is still good, not cheap but a bit different from the usual as they do the potato hash with various different options.

Market Diner for post night out munchies, but I like Sams Diner in the Brighton Market. Cheap, cheerful and delicious!

how anyone can describe the market diner as 'posh' is beyond me

the quality is awful.....as mentioned before you can tell a lot about a place by their sausages....

Billies has a menu not found elsewhere and the queues outside at the weekend demonstrate its popularity.

For a heart-attack on a plate,Google "Marios Cafe Bolton" .

I've never understood the enthusiasm about Carats...seems like the Portslade residents think of it as their pride and joy....yet the menu and decor is basic.Whats the attraction (apart from being by the sea....)?

Feedwell is good,as long as you don't count the calories or worry about cholesterol.

And Harrys too,but the portions can be excessive.
