I thought it was tediously overlong. Could have been 2 mins max. ‘City met the release clause so we trousered the cash

Succinct and to the point. £100 m for Grealish is ridiculous money.

I really thought he would stay with Villa as his local team and be their Dunk. Swayed by bright lights and a larger pile of dosh than he had already. There must be a limited to how much someone needs. Winning stuff - oh, yeah. He’ll win loads of medals but they won’t mean as much as those he could have won staying at home and playing for his own.

Anyone turning down such a move doesn't deserve the chance of such a move. Were Dunk good enough to match that transfer he'd be gone and good luck to him. Well done Gealish - I thought perhaps you might be a bottler like Le Tissier. Clearly not.

The Villa CEO explains all here, it’s an interesting listen to be honest. Fair play.

Yup.

Loved the bit about picking players to replace Grealish’s key attributes.

I’ve also heard that the Premier League have now given Villa special dispensation to field 13 players so that they can actually replace Grealish with 3 players at the same time as planned.

Ings - shooting
Buendia - dribbling
Bailey - diving

This Villa bloke’s a frigging genius!

It was the chance of playing CL football that attracted Jack to Man City [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

Be interesting to see what sort of reception he gets. I imagine most will turn away from the pitch for 90 mins.

They will not be happy with the “Dream come true” comment from him

I really don’t get sections of the Villa fan base calling Grealish a snake and hurling abuse at him. Surely they understand why he’s leaving, for the champions, to win trophies, to play in the Champions League, to play under Pep and to possibly increase his chances of starting more for England.

It’s a short career. Don’t see how they can’t emphasise with that.

I’d like to think our fan base, although would have been gutted, would be understanding. If/when Biss goes, as long as he’s professional I will say he’s been a brilliant player for us but he deserves to play Champions League so good luck to him.

Perfect summation, it’s utter hollow bollocks that comes with an attractive wage packet and no soul whatsoever and to have two boyhood fans of their respective (and big) clubs in him and Kane keen on swimming on the pale blue tide...

Can't wait for City vs Villa and Grealish falls over to buy City a freekick in the Villa half.

Then dives in the penalty area and gets England's Tyrone Mings sent off.
