At a guess I would suggest that it was either just after a game or more than 48 hours before one so as to get it well out of their system before playing.

I think it will take more than 48 hours to get what they were on out of there system

This kind of thing pisses me off, they're just ordinary people, they're entitled to have a life.

The press are wankers.

Totally - As long as they do the business on the pitch and it doesnt interfere with their careers then good luck to em.

90k a week isn't ordinary. I'm probably alone here but personally I expect a bit more from 90k a week professional athletes. That said, his Wednesday night activities might explain why he is at Brighton and not playing for city or his country anymore.

I bet if this were lets say, Dean Hammond. There would be slating at its best!

As I say as long as he does the business on the pitch, I'm not fussed, he's allowed to live his life how he likes, and luckily for him, it's pretty f***ing good.

Haven't really bothered to read this thread until my mate just put me onto it, and what I don't really get is why they all seem so determined to hide their faces in the pictures.

As Baaaald quite rightly says footballers behave no differently on a night out than everybody else, getting wankered and behaving in interesting ways. Why they feel they need to hide this from the world I dunno.

One reason would might be that they are ashamed of what they are doing, which if that is the case then I would suggest that they shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

The other point I would like to make is that alcohol consumption and smoking fags clearly has an effect on athletic performance, and also on recovering from injury. Smoking in particular can damage the small capillary blood vessels which can stop blood from reaching injured areas of the body, slowing the healing. As footballers are professional athletes, and are paid as such, I would hope that more would have the common sense to not smoke or drink during their professional careers, so they can concentrate on giving their maximum to the team that pays them, and the supporters. There is plenty of time for getting hammered and smoking your life away once you retire (normally in your 30's).

Fair play to the bloke, he's done the business where it counts, on the pitch and kept his head down since he got here. :clap2:

(feel free to quote and add the innuendo of your choice  )

You're an idiot.

i think he put that rather well to be fair............any idiot knows that beer and fags aren't all that good for you , particularly as an aid to recovery.......i doubt the coaching/management staff would take any positives from the pictures in that article...........particularly the cigarettes which deplete the oxygen in your blood and thus slow down recovery and also lower you lung capacity.........:moo:

Jesus, since Bridge has been here he has been first class on the pitch.

Yet some still can't wait to have a pop at the player for having a night out, and decided that the newspaper must be correct with all it's facts because of course they only ever print the truth.

If he starts performing shit then by all means have a pop but right now I don't see that Wayne Bridge has put a foot wrong.

Not arguing but I am lead to believe that the players are not even allowed in a pub after a Wednesday yet alone drink alcohol, before a Saturday game unless of course Gus has relaxed the rules, which I would find surprising as he is so professional in all that he does.

That's bollox one of the players use to come into my work and buy 3-4 bottle of beer a night (not every single night) but quite a lot. And I remember the night out he had just lost to someone (can't remember who) for some reason I think the score was 3-1. But yer they was all in oxygen. Nav noone sparrow oatway all tried chatting up my ex and her mate.

This.

He should have decked those muppets with the cameras then the rags might have something newsworthy to report.

Following Frankie and Vanessa's appearance at the Twilight premiere, the pair went to Pan-Asian restaurant Novikov with their boyfriends Wayne and Gary Salter.

If you were so concerned why did you not tell or at least e mail the club about them as I am sure most concerned supporter would do. I know I would if I thought they were not conducting themselves in an appropriate manner for professional sportsmen, at the club I supported.
