So, now we've seen him, what do people think?

I thought he was decent enough, could have done better with the freekick if he'd been decisive about going the right way but I doubt he'd have got enough on it to stop it. Distribution was a bit shaky at times, but overall he was pretty solid.

I still think that a new keeper has to be job one in the Summer, mind.

Not good enough for this level for me, distribution was poor. Not the man for the job

What the hell is going on with his position and awareness!

Took far too much time and very indecisive.

That free-kick...his positioning was BEHIND the wall not by it! Schoolboy!

It was embarrassing the abuse he got from sections of the north stand. He was obviously nervous, which showed with the free kick, but I think he improved as the match went on. Not the long term answer, mind, although I did like his balls out to the left wing in the 2nd half.

Not the answer on this showing. However, I have no idea what his capacity to grow and develop as a player is. We'll see. An outstanding Championship keeper is what we need.

On that showing I thought he was awful, we looked so shaky at the back in the first half. He may well be one for the future, but no way is he the man to be number 1 next year. We need an experienced, proven keeper at this level or the one above if we are serious about challenging for promotion.

Thought he - like the whole team - were better in the second half. The free kick couldn't have helped his confidence but on the whole thought he was ok.

Probably not the real deal though...

Looked like very bad positioning for the goal but he did OK but as others have said not the long term solution.

Gus will not get rid of Ankergren after sticking with him for so long, that would be admitting a mistake.

You really are an idiot. He dropped him when he had a run of bad form, what did you want him to do, sack him?

Seriously (to back up frivolous last post) no positioning, no distribution, tiny and dangerous. 3rd of 3 bad keepers IMO.

He didn't inspire confidence but it seemed like people were just waiting for a reason to get on his back, which didn't help him settle.

The keeper was terrible in the first half, yes he might have been nervous but I though he may well have been brought off at half time! Terrible positioning for the free kick goal, woeful distribution, almost cost us the game in my opinion.
