So, now we've seen him, what do people think?

I thought he was decent enough, could have done better with the freekick if he'd been decisive about going the right way but I doubt he'd have got enough on it to stop it. Distribution was a bit shaky at times, but overall he was pretty solid.

He was crap

He doesn't even look like a keeper. He's too small and his shirt is too big for him.

His positioning for the free kick was terrible and his distribution as time was poor. He also seemed unable to kick it past the half way line.

As debuts go it was one to forget. He's not the answer. This was the worst debut I'd seen since Ashley Neal.

I hope he proves me wrong.

My view from directly behind the goal at the back of the North Stand.

He positioned himself wrongly for the free kick, then compounded the error by making a step to his left as the free kick was taken. It was a decent free kick but had he stepped right (or stood in the correct position to begin with) he would have saved it easily. He looked dodgy to me throughout and i would like Brez back in goal Saturday as he is the best of a bad bunch.

Our play first half didn't suit him and no surprise he was nervous with that shakey back four in front of him. Looked better second half when we went long

I don't often disagree with Mr Frutos, but we disagree on this. His North Stand reception didn't help and was sameful from those concerned, but it wasn't good first half. Brezovan didn't deserve to be dropped, not for this guy. Alright, you have to play him to know what he is like, but surely he doesn't play THAT well in training to mask his complete lack of talent?

Where is Michael Poke, why does he NEVER get a chance. He was retained last summer, why is he behind this guy? What is he doing here? Surely he's no worse than Gonzalez!

I don't know what happened for the free kick but even if he had saved that, his distribution is f***ing horrible. I saw him play for the reserves against Crawley and thought the exact same. Would rather Brez back in..

He was clearly at fault for the first goal. He took two steps to his left (behind where the wall was covering) and the ball went past him on his right where he should've been postitioned.
He also looked rather nervous in the first 20 minutes or so especially with the ball at his feet but the defenders didn't help him by keep giving him the ball when he clearly didn't want it.
Other than that I thought he looked fine and he distribution in the second half particularly out towards Barnes and Vincelot on the left was spot on.

Didnt inspire me with any confidence at all. Never looked like coming for or taking any crosses, not great with his feet either.

Not the answer

Did he realise that we play in blue and white stripes?

And as for his first touch of the ball, dribbling it out for a throw in on the East side, wtf.

Lacked presence but probably no worse than the other two. Comedy distribution.

He is terrible. We have five terrible keepers. Luckily they won't be here next season and we'll have at least two new ones. So relax.

I'm afraid the Badger is correct on this occasion. It doesn't look like any of our Keepers are upper Championship standard. I cant remember the last time I saw one of our Keepers properly command his area, I'm not sure we've had one since Kuipers. Brez is probably OK as a number 2, just, but we need a proven goalkeeper at this level, or better still the one above.

Maybe Gonzalez can become that Keeper, but not yet, not by a long way.

Last night was the first time in ages I felt ashamed of my fellow Brighton supporters. Right from the off they were on the back of the debut goalie as if the other goalies haven't made enough mistakes this season, you could clearly hear it coming from the north stand right at the top of the west. The guy was playing his 1st game with the 1st team it takes time to build an understanding with your team mates and it wasn't helped by some, at times, comical defending in front of him. Maybe he was at fault withthe 1st goal, only those right behind it can say but for the rest of the game he looked ok and and if he's to be judged on that 1 error, if it was an error, than the other 2 goalies should have left the club months ago.

Think he should definitely play the last 2 games. You can't judge a person solely on one game. We've seen enough of Brez and Casper to know they are definitely not the answer. This guy may have made a couple of mistakes yesterday but thought he improved a lot as the game went on - particularly on his distribution which I thought was actually pretty good for much of the second half.

Need to see the free kick again but it did look like he took a step the left before it was taken - making it impossible for him to get across in time. However, I've seen plenty of top keepers make this mistake too (Cudicini at the weekend for example).

Give him a couple more games and let's see how he does...

We needed to attack second half and I liked the way Gonzalez kicked the balls out to our wings instead of a hoof up the middle, which is invariably dealt with by a mahoosive centre-half with CMS nowhere.

I also thought our passing out of defence was quicker and sharper with Dunk and El-Abd.

Sorry dont know how to post links but this is a video of taken of the free kick from the watford end also available on thread here - incredible free free kick which bends massively - i thought he was at fault until i saw this

Exactly my point in a previous post. I was right behind the goal.

It looked like it was going in the top right before it swerved in to the left.
