As I have just asked some of my mates, do we want the multi-millionaire pornographer investing in our club? HELL YEAH!

Who gives a rats arse how someone makes their money, as long as it is legal?

Gold would not be considering investing in us if he didnt see the potential, he is not a mad albion fanatic and his money would obviously be invested to get a return.

Personally at this moment in time I cannot personally think of a more suitable candidate, lives locally, has always shown a semi interest in the club. Has a fantastic proven record at turning a club around and fulfilling the potential.

I fully believe that if this story is true and come November his ties with Birmingham begin to loosen....then this could be the man to turn the potential into reality.

Hes a shrude and great business man who has always had Birminghams best intrests at heart.....bring on the GOLD!

If nothing else, he and a certain Mr. S Jordan do not get along so well (or certainly they didn't, and I don't recall them ever puclicly making up), so he's a perfect fit from that POV.

He apparently knows DK and has friends who are Albion season ticket holders, so will know exactly what has gone on here. He has pulled Birmingham back from the brink and he has loads of money and is a football fan. I doubt we could do much better and could certainly do a lot worse. An unequivocable yes from me as long as he gives DK the opportunity to stay on the board.

The concept of anyone "giving DK" a place in the club, as if in a charitable gesture??

:nono: I much prefer that the dictator of all things, be Dick Knight.

Investors and financial backers, under contracts, okay. Complete control over the club is not something I want to see rescinded to any outside party on a whim.
Gold didn't save this club, many 'investors' could have manned the oars when BHA was in the doldrums - and I don't want to find out some opportunist takes over and suddenly the fate of the club is in their grubby hands. :glare:

Archer and Bellotti, did they make their money all LEGAL like??

Some of you ought to have a bit of a think before you grab drooling at any-old poisoned chalice  :drink:

I would trust DK to make the right decision for the club, so if DK thinks Gold is the right man to take the club forward I am sure everyone would welcome him with open arms. There is no way that DK would quit now without completing what he started. DK will be on the board when we first play at Falmer, with or without Gold. I just cannot see us having a club worthy of playing in that arena without the investment of someone like Gold.

Gold has a proven track record of investing in and rebuilding football clubs. I would hardly call that a poisoned chalice

Gold is not an unknown name/face....who has come from no-where with millions to randomly plough into a football club cos he's bored...nor is he some random foriegn crook who has escaped his own country with pocket loads of cash and an excuse for a permanant visa.

Gold is a proven business man, a proven football fan and a man who see's a good oppotunity. He turns the small into big....

So lets stop this...blaa blaa archer, belloti rubbish and being scared of anyone other than Dick Knight and Martin Perry.....get rid of this small minded attitude that every man with more than 50 quid wants to ruin us and if at all possible get him on side asap...1% share or 100% share....I have no concerns about this man at all....and where his intentions lie.

I'm not saying it would be for definite, but I'm not as gung-ho as many here seem to be - and knowing that one man saved our destitute club, while many richer men didn't.

Many have 'believed' before now, and it looks like a couple of people here are ready and willing to just hand Dick Knight a gold timex and a slap on the arse at the drop of any new name with ££.

:

Hair splitting as DK will not hand over control unless he is sure the right man is taking over. "Grabbing" or "clinging onto" may have suited your taste better than "giving" which doesn't have to be something disparaging as you seem to have interpreted it.:glare::glare:

If your having problems/issues with Gold being in control of us...with his background in football in business then we will never progress.......

Will the slap on the arse be from Jacqueline Gold then? Who knows he might enjoy that?

What is his background?
Is it to invest in football clubs, get in at a good price on something that looks like a good investment deal, then sell to a foreign businessman for a profit?
That does seem to be the way it's going in football - but I wonder if that does mean a richer experience, ultimately, for the fans?

Some people couldn't be happier to watch Chelsea's fortunes changing, or at least in the hope of their changing.....

His background is to guide a club with potential and take it to close to european football and stand by that club for 15 years, hard work a fantastic business brain and a love for football.

If were over cautious we will never progress and stuck in falmer in league 1 or 2 with 6k fans...and no money.....

Abort, retry, fail
I see what you are saying NMH. Do we want to sell out and have a single owner? As you say, what would happen if he decided that he had enough of the club and sold off to a foreign investor?

Many of our old fans have been priced out as it is. What would happen if we made a push for the big time and to extend our stay there, we had to start tickets at £40? Afterall, we would have a small stadium relatively compared to many in the higher echelons of the football upper tier.

Can the Blooms be trusted? I would say they are more in it for the money than Champan, Knight et al. Afterall, Ray stuck around when Archer was causing all sorts of problems...
