It's my final lads holiday next year and i want to make it one to remember, so Cancun on spring break it is.
Has anyone been? Can anyone recommend a hotel/an area to stay? Shall we go with reps?
Any advice would be much appreciated

Probably full of mongs after Geordie Shore went there. I suggest going elsewhere, there is more to Spring Break than Cancun.

I've actually never watched it

Fair enough, just seems a long way to go for 'Spring break' which is an American/Canadian thing. You could go somewhere a lot nearer and cheaper for a lads hol.

Why fly to Mexico (assuming from UK) when you could go to Costa Del Sol and not tell the difference? Cancun (the beach part) is designed for cheap holidays and caters to scores of younger americans (18-21) who can drink legally in Mexico and proceed to do that while getting fried to a crisp in the sun. Hotels range from el expensivo to el cheapo (beach is very good) with plenty of crap bars, crap tex-mex restuarants and tourist shops. If you go during US Spring Break and it's all about cheapish plentiful drinking, sunny all day, nonstop nights, better than average chance of scoring with some young american totty and you really like 12 hours flights, then couldn't be better.

I've done all that. I have one more lads holiday in me and I want it to be the best. The American/Canadian thing is half the draw

That's exactly what i'm looking for in my last lads holiday. It made me excited just reading that lol

We went to Cancun in 2002 during the group and 2nd round matches of the world cup... great atmosphere.

We stayed in the Moon Palace which is close to the airport about 10 miles from Cancun strip. Hotel is a great complex but prices went through the roof when they added a golf course.

Any hotel 4* and above on the main strip will be fine as the hotels are all of a high standard

Some years ago now I went to Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific side of Mexico, absolutely fantastic, and with the rain forest immediately behind the hotel, just mind the Jaguars, and that's the furry ones not the cars

I stayed in Cancun for a week a few years back followed by a week in Rivieira Maya. Really loved it but went with the missus so didn't do any of the 'Spring Break' stuff. A few mates came back from a lads' holiday there last Spring Break though and had the time of their lives
