I've been to Vietnam a few times, but never had sex with children. It's a beautiful place & well worth visiting. Should I be on some sort of register Frank?

Yes, Timothy, you should be on the disgraceful alcoholics never allowed to travel anywhere register.

I’ve been to Vietnam and thought it was a great country just like Cambodia. My step brother questioned my motives for travelling through Cambodia and Vietnam so asked him to elaborate on why he thought I was visiting such places, his response was little girls, just goes to show the mentality of some people. People should read books and read up on countries history instead of reading garbage that’s printed on front pages of national papers.

And as for someone saying people need to register like football hooligans then that is abusing their human rights but saying that, under this government (Blair’s Britain) that’s exactly how we’re heading, it won’t be long before you’ll need a swipe card to leave home and use it for everything, i.e., boarding buses, trains, work, pubs etc , so Blair and his cronies can monitor our every move.

Funnily enough I base my opinions on three things. One is my girlfriend who's from the Phillpiines. The second is my cousin's fiance who is from Thailand and the third was a news report on Sky yesterday about Vietnam's problems with their under age sex industries. I can't see why we can't monitor perverts who go to these countries for those reasons. Nobody is saying that all tourists who go there are looking for peodophillia. However Paul Gadd is a sex oiffender and it's highly unlikely that he's not the only person to go to those countries to absorb the culture, see temples and sample the food,

If their human rights are being infringed upon what about the rights of children too young to know that they have any ?

Exactly (except Gadd shouldn't be in the same sentence as cuture-absorbing tourists).

When people talk about habitual evil in coutries where they misuse children - there are some who think they are not guilty if they do stuff in 'their world'.
It's evil in all the World, and that must be underlined. Priests should get the same sentences as pornographers too, when they kiddie fiddle.

We all know that the human right laws are intended to protect the criminals as you've only got to see paedophiles being housed after release next to schools etc, talk about putting ones temptation in ones way. Even when parents are outraged the politicians say the vermin have rights and should be protected.

Anyway, I've seen what goes on out there to know that the Police, politicians, young girls, older girls care about one thing..£££, the only reason why Glitter came to justice is because of the press, the Cambodians and Vietnamese don't care about what goes on until it's brought into the domain and when this business with Glitter is over then it’s back to business as usual.

My understanding is that they already do track known offenders going to such countries. Vietnam, for example, and the UK have a recent history of sharing information on sex offenders coming to Vietnam for this. I think what you're asking for is already in place. But you can't stop them going to those places in the first place.

Football hooligans are different. You can simply take their passports away for 2 week during major tournaments or games. You can't do that as the sex trade goes on all year round.

The alternative is to track anyone who goes and that's blatantly against human rights
