The midfield was awful, so let's blame the striker who received no decent passes all game. Some people on here don't understand football whatsoever.

I know a bit about football and play a lot and do not rate him or like him as a player, we do not all have to worship every player do we, I like Forster, Elphick, Kuipers and Whing very much, they are my favourite players

Can't blame it all on the midfield Deep. The forwards have to chip in as well.No effort from Murray.

Gareth, we would have signed him with or without Wilkins in charge, so he can be put down as an Albion signing as opposed to a Wilkins signing. Does that help?

As for not wanting to be here, that did not look like the case when he scored against Southend. He made a bee-line for the crowd which surely counts for something.

Think a lot of credit is due to Orient's defenders yesterday. Murray never looked like getting the better of his marker, and on the other side of the pitch Cox was battling away like a good 'un but getting very little joy against his man.

2 of whom I would drop on current form and replace with better players at the club already.

Murray wins a number of headers and flicks the bsl forward or backwards but there is no midfielder backing him up to receive the 2nd ball. That is where the problem lies.

When MA was here last time we had Paul Rogers and Chippy always available for the ball that dropped off of the strikers we do not have a player/players that can do that now.

Premiership class first touch. Outstanding positional play. Fantastic link play and ability to hold the ball up. Skill on the ball, including ability to flick the ball on cleverly and lay the ball off to other players.

Thats Rooney i'll think your talking about

this thread is an embarrassment. murray is our most talented player BY FAR. i doubt he'll mind you idiots slating him all that much because when he buggers off to a championship club in january he'll be playing better football, earning more money and scoring more goals whilst you miserable lot have a new player to abuse simply because our midfield is so inept the strikers don't get a touch

On current form YES and replace them with Virgo at right back and Lynch as I believe that neither Whing nor Elphick are playing well at the moment and are getting caught out . Elphick is not covering Whing when he ventures forward so consequently he is being exposed. All of Orients attacks yesterday were down their left side and caused us problems. I am suprised that it took MA and the clown so long to realise and move Virgo back there. The urgent need is for another Carpenter and or Rogers.

That is a matter of opinion.

I do not think that he will be the first choice right back after Christmas.

no it's not. it is a plain and simple fact. he was outstanding and it was quite simply unbelievable that he didn't get MOM.

your second statement is a matter of opinion. may be true. time will tell..

Wrong!!!

Both are opinions, in your opinion he should have been MOM, in mine he was poor, neither is a fact both are individual opinions.

Absolutely 100% correct answer. Playing upfront for the albion this season has been an impossible task, due to the incredible lack of service our midfield provide. Anyone criticising Murray OR Forster is just an idiot, it's as simple as that. As you say, if Murray gets driven out then I guarantee several championship clubs will want him. And we'll be left with a Revell or a Savage again. Is that really what some people want?

Oh, and to Uncle Spielberg, who seems to think Murray doesn't want to be at the club, I suggest that you either a) take a look at his celebration at Southend, or b) listen to some of his interviews on Seagulls World. Someone who doesn't run around like a headless chicken is NOT necessarily someone who doesn't want to be at the club.

Great Post :clap2:
