And there's me thinking it is the supporters who are brainless morons.

I would be interested to know what the options were for Mirray as there was no other Brighton player in the half and he was 40 yds out surrounded and unable to control the ball.

Whilst it was a tall order, you could see what he was trying to do. At that point we hadn't tested the keeper and it coincided with a period where we needed to re-organise ourselves. If it had been on target, then people may not have moaned. He was ahead of everyone and we were outnumbered by their defence.

Had it been on target with the goalkeeper exposed everybody would have said what a great effort.

Indeed. There is a fine line between success and failure or applause and abuse in this instance.

I still can't believe that there are so many people that are not 'getting' what Murray is all about. You have to wonder if they would prefer a team of 110%'ers over a team with guile, talent and genuine promise.

I seem to remember Zamora was quite languid at the best of times.

Some would probably prefer Bas Savage back but not me although I would like a similar type player to give an option up front if we need a goal rather than bring on Robinson to do nothing.

I don't think Murray or Forster could have done a lot more - they just need a bit more quality and guile behind them in midfield.
I just hope Glen doesn't take these frustrations personally as we need him focused.

This may sound harsh but I think it's true: people who like hard-working but talentless strikers are spastics. End of story. It's all the retards wearing scarfs in August that idolise brainless morons like Revell because he works hard for the team they love. Well, f*** that. I don't give a shit if Murray doesn't win a single tackle all season, because it's what he does ON the ball that counts, and he happens to be f***ing brilliant at the things he needs to be. Plus, for what it's worth, I noticed him close down a few defenders and win us throws etc today. Not that I care about throw ins, I'm happy for him to sit on his arse until the ball comes his way, but it just showed that this "lazy" stuff is really just a myth. He'll score 20 goals this season, and that my friends is ALL that matters.

Glenn, if you're reading, don't let 2% of the crowd (who I'm pretty sure haven't ever had a girlfriend between them) get you down, because the other 98% realise you're QUALITY:clap:

Must put down the cans of bitter because I agree with you although as I have said I would like to sign an experienced brick shit house door type striker as an option to bring on if all else appears to be failing.

Most people won't ever warm to him cos his entire body language screams 'Non-Trier'. That's how life is

I agree totally about his body language, and some people will struggle to get over that. I really don't think he's lazy at all though, but of course chasing down every ball and running himself into the ground isn't his style.

Murray will come close to 20 goals for us this season I reckon. For that alone he will be money well spent.

Agree 100%. Thing is that everything you say sums up EXACTLY why the England football team is so utterly SHIT. We HATE, and I do mean HATE, skilfull footballers. We love headless chickens. Only in England could a player like Steven Gerrard be so revered. Look at Andrea Pirlo - he barely ever leaves the centre circle, yet he consistently dictates games with his extraordinary technique, vision and passing in a manner that Steven Gerrard couldn't even DREAM about. All these mongs who go on about PASSION and COMMITMENT don't know the first thing about the game of football. The first thing being that superior technique will always win out. Only in England could Bas Savage get a professional contract, if he turned up at pre-season training for a Spanish league side they would laugh him off the pitch. That is all.

I saw it from the South Stand.

My advice to Murray is thus...

You are too good to rise to the minority of idiots who know NOTHING about our beautiful game.

I thank you.

I've taken a new seat this season and unfortunately have one of those types who moans at everything behind me.

Anyway, Murray is one of the best players we've had at the club for ages. He is a bit lazy at times, but is one of those players who can do little all game then put on a sublime bit of skill to win the match. In the later stages of a game against tired legs that's actually an advantage.

Murray is a quality player! His skill as a footballer does seem to be recognised more by those of us that get to away games...

Absolutely spot on. Not only does this country seem to admire commitment, passion, and hard work, there seem to be pro footballers who survive thanks ONLY to these 'skills.' Gerrard, as you mention, is the PERFECT example. Based on talent, he's very, very ordinary. He has no flair or natural ability. He's just got a lot of running, a lot of energy, and good stamina. That shouldn't really be enough to get in a league two side, yet he's an international superstar here!

I've never, ever heard of Messi, Henry, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Kaka, or Ronaldo being described as "a great team player" or "committed to the cause." The reason being Brazilians, Portugese, Spaniards etc don't give a flying f*** about these things. It's also why they LAUGH at the idea of thugs like Terry, Gerrard, and Rooney being "world class." English football - joke.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

surely a wind up? if not....

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha ooooooohhhh stop it! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....brilliant!

Murray was utterly dreadfull in the first half.Didn't win any headers or chase the ball down.I'm still not convinced by him and for 300k we were mugged.God help us if we get promoted to the championship with him upfront. He is about as mobile as someone entering the paralympics.
