Glenn Murray abuse

Murray was utterly dreadfull in the first half.Didn't win any headers or chase the ball down.I'm still not convinced by him and for 300k we were mugged.God help us if we get promoted to the championship with him upfront. He is about as mobile as someone entering the paralympics.

Couldn't disagree more. I think for 300k he is a bargain.
VERY intelligent player that isn't scared to try things. Ok so a lot of his flicks didn't come off today but the service was abysmal.
Look at the goals we have scored this season from open play and note how many Murray has played a part in.

Can't you make your point without insulting the disabled and mentally challenged?

Well said Doug, some posters dont seem to realise that we DO have disabled supporters who DO read this message board and DO find posts like that offensive.

This may sound harsh but I think it's true: people who like hard-working but talentless strikers are spastics. End of story. It's all the retards wearing scarfs in August that idolise brainless morons like Revell because he works hard for the team they love. Well, f*** that. I don't give a shit if Murray doesn't win a single tackle all season, because it's what he does ON the ball that counts, and he happens to be f***ing brilliant at the things he needs to be. Plus, for what it's worth, I noticed him close down a few defenders and win us throws etc today. Not that I care about throw ins, I'm happy for him to sit on his arse until the ball comes his way, but it just showed that this "lazy" stuff is really just a myth. He'll score 20 goals this season, and that my friends is ALL that matters.

Glenn, if you're reading, don't let 2% of the crowd (who I'm pretty sure haven't ever had a girlfriend between them) get you down, because the other 98% realise you're QUALITY:clap:

I haven't laughed so much for a while.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

In my view, Murray is rather too good a player for our current squad and we're lucky to have him. It won't be long, however, before he gets fed up with Adams' "hoof it and hope" style of play which on yesterday's evidence is really depressing to watch. We may be unbeaten but we're not entertaining and most of our play is too slow and obvious to be threatening, at least at home. Sort it out Mickey..and soon.

Absolutely spot on. Not only does this country seem to admire commitment, passion, and hard work, there seem to be pro footballers who survive thanks ONLY to these 'skills.' Gerrard, as you mention, is the PERFECT example. Based on talent, he's very, very ordinary. He has no flair or natural ability. He's just got a lot of running, a lot of energy, and good stamina. That shouldn't really be enough to get in a league two side, yet he's an international superstar here!

I've never, ever heard of Messi, Henry, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Kaka, or Ronaldo being described as "a great team player" or "committed to the cause." The reason being Brazilians, Portugese, Spaniards etc don't give a flying f*** about these things. It's also why they LAUGH at the idea of thugs like Terry, Gerrard, and Rooney being "world class." English football - joke.

Appreciate the point you are making but disagree about your comments re Gerrard. Average talent! Any top team in Europe would, given the opportunity, welcome him with open arms. As regard talented people, you seem to generallise about peoples opinions. I prefer to see talent rather than endeavour. Look at Gascoigne, wasn't he won of the most popular players of the last 20 years? I think most people prefer to see talent it's just that in this country we are bereft of those sort of players.

Give the guy a chance for godsake !
Hes a great player yes hes abit lazy but im sure adams has told him to sort that out

Is he a great player, is he, there is NO evidence to back that up. He is a lazy bastard , end of, does he deserve ths hirt, if we had another decent striker I would be glad to see the back of him as he does not give a toss, I doubt howver we would ever get our £ 350000 back we spunked away.

That is bollocks, just because he doesn't run around like Revell did doesn't mean he is lazy.

In the short time he has been here he HAS shown he is a great player... has good touch, brings other players into the game and is forming a good partnership with Forster.

He isn't however a big target man to hoof balls at, and when we get the ball down and get crosses into the box he shows what a good player he is.

I don't like the gut, his attitude, his could give a toss, I know he is meant to be the new Zamora but he is not fit to clean Zamora's boots.

He did not give a toss from day 1. No I do not like him , particularly rate him and would be happy to sell him now if we got our money back, hes a bad un, attitude stinks and he is anoter leon Knight or Kazim - Richards in the making, he does not want to be at this club, that much is obvious everytime he pulls on his shirt and lumbers onto the pitch

Good strikers make chances themselves.Murray can't be arsed to work for the ball.I'm not saying run around like Revell but he seriously needs to work alot more harder then he is.

Algie, Murray does not want to be at this club, he could not make it more obvious, probably thinks he's too good for us.

Agree. All the signs of a player that doesn't want to be here.Cash in now i say.

That's disgraceful if true. He's one of the best strikers we've had in recent years! Hope all the Victor Meldrews in the crowd are pleased with themselves when another rising star buggers off cos of abuse from his own crowd

I'm sorry but you really are talking out of your arse there. You're judging him after 4 games of the new season. His overall goal-scoring record is far better than Savage's. And you also ignoring his all-round contribution. He is far more than just a goal-scorer.

Think we would have trouble replacing Murray as anyone who thinks about coming here would have to be prepared for constant slagging off if they miscontrol a pass or get caught offside
