Just found the Paul Heaton performance on iPlayer. Wow. Rhianne Downey’s vocals made the brilliant Song For Whoever even better. And the reunion with FBS 😍 .

It’s interesting how sets improve as the singer’s vocals loosen up or the sound people get it right. First couple of songs PH was drowned out by imho an overly dominant keyboard volume.

It was special wasn’t it?! I got all emotional when Norman came on!

I properly love Paul Heaton’s voice, it’s beautiful. Him, Morrisey and Ian Curtis untouchable as singers for me.

I can still remember being there in 1997 and seeing (in my view) probably one of the best Glasto moments being in the front row for Radiohead's legendary performance. That was a night that few have ever got close to replicating.
I can't help myself whenever there's an opportunity to watch a Radiohead gig. I've seen the 1997 set twice already in the last week. Once we'd done Confidence Man, LCD Soundsystem and PJ Harvey on the Beeb yesterday, we had a scout around for anything else and it was all a bit meh, so we had to watch 1997 again, which is Michael Eavis' favourite ever set in the 53 years that Glasto has been going.

I respect people’s opinions and we’ve all got different tastes but yes, fuckin ell (and I’ve been drinking) on one hand you get old codgers like Elton John and shit like Coldplay…and then you get Radiohead.
