Myself and Mrs Reagulls are going to give it a miss too, we'd probably have gone but will need to use the trains and some people are too stupid, selfish or simply don't care enough to be able to wear a mask, despite signs everywhere at the station, on the trains and at the ground, I'm sure more will make an effort given the current infection rates but from what I've witnessed in the past I think we'll have to give it a miss.

Decided not to go as I would like a family Xmas, and that's right out the window if I get COVID.
More than that there's one person at Xmas lunch who is a definite gonner if they get it, and two ladies old enough their chances would not be great.
So yeah even a faint prospect of being the man who went to a football match and ended up devastating the lives of everyone present at Xmas and more makes swerving it the only option.

in fairness Mr Hark neither have I so I can only judge by what i’m told by fellow fans.

i’m told avoid the transport, avoid the concourses etc.

i’m unsure if to bother to reply, i doubt it would make a difference, just feel a bit cut adrift really

Respect to all those who have decided not to go tomorrow night. Reading through these posts it's clear that it's not a decision many have taken lightly. But sadly for the club, risk to family and friends will usually trump going to football, especially a week or so before Xmas get-togethers with loved ones

They have already got 100's and 1000's sitting on a ST. And so have every other club. It's glaringly obvious to all on here, and anybody who watches MOTD. I admire his confidence that there is an army of new ST holders ready and willing to go through the current faff to get into the AMEX. Personally, I think he's wrong on this point. He'd do better to nurture the current holders rather than say "you must get to 25% of matches or I might take your ticket away". There are, I would venture, a fair few ST holders who will be letting their tickets lapse if the current COVID environment continues.

Oh, and as previously discussed, the Amex might be fuller if he hadn't been so restrictive on how we are allowed to share tickets.

Yeah, I'm going to give this one a miss. I can't remember the last home game I've missed but - to be honest - I'm increasingly not enjoying the whole 'match day experience' this season - mostly due to the Covid stuff which has ramped itself up to a level I'm not comfortable being around.

Booster booked for the 30th after which I'll feel ok about going again but I'm right at the end of my vaccine protection by the sounds of things

That’s my position….apart from say work as in dont work dont get paid …i balance that against i will be travelling by vehicle…i arrive at KO so no queues generally…I’ll probably stay in my seated area at HT etc…no matter what i do there will be risk…but I’ll limit it and as you said no immediate contact with someone classified as ‘vulnerable’ ….we’ll see

Until yesterday I was still planning on going tomorrow night, despite a 220 mile round trip drive and the kids not coming with me cos it’s a school night. However, we’re all off to Center Parcs for the week before Christmas with my parents and so, however small the risk of getting Covid at the game might be, it’s not a gamble I’m willing to take to jeopardise our holiday.

See you all in January, maybe…

As much as I would like to go, and it gives me a mental boost going to watch games in person, for the sake of my wife who is clinically vulnerable and for my parents and other relatives who are all over 80 that I'll be seeing at Christmas its the right decision for me not to go. At least its on the TV so will still be able to watch.
