Perhaps Turienzo should learn to warm up properly or wear one of those thigh warmer things so that he doesn't pull his hamstring quite so often? It's the 3rd time this season I believe.

Maybe him and Dodd like their mid morning chats in the treatment room?

Is he teaching Dodd Spanish? A nice little sideline and earner?

I don't think people are against him as such, he has had recommendations from Brady and the like so must be something about him.

Think it's more of a case of us spending 150k on a player and him being injured all the time.... just fucks the average supporter off.

Everyone got pissed of at Kitson, and also being to get pissed off at Dodd i think.... we have limited resources and it's just annoying when our players are constantly injured

To be fair I don't think the majority of supporters are against him, at least not going by the applause he got when he went off at Luton

he was applauded at luton for getting close to the luton goal without being offside

the fact that he was off the pitch is a mere technicality:lolol:

Was actually quite impressive at Luton, if a bit naive. Would like to see him make the bench when fit.
Got to disagree with you there. 10/10 for effort which is why he had a good reception but he just wasn't at the races. I made a point of watching him and trolley for a while and their movement off the ball was non existant, the runs they made were poor and almost always going towards the corner flag. Admittedly they hadn't played togeather before so it's asking alot to strike up an instant understanding. CKR proved how it should be done when he came on by actually causing problems for their defence, who untill his arrival had had an easy ride

Its not Turienzo himself that a lot of people feel frustrated by, its the fact that £150K was spent on a player only seen on video and who hasnt featured in a season that was always going to be a releagation battle.

Its easy to use hindsight, but that money was a write off as far as this season is concerned, and a club like ours cannot afford to spend for the future, we have an academy for that, we have to spend for the hear and now.

150K is peanuts compared to what other teams in this division are paying for their strikers. I know we can't afford 450K for the likes of Henderson (Watford) so we do take chances on other players. Some gambles pay off, ie.Currie, some don't.

Dont agree, certainly not at the start of the season, 150K in cash is still a lot of money for a bottom half CCC side.

How can you disagree. Darius Henderson was bought at the start of the season and he had hardly set the world alight at Championship level. He was a gamble and cost £450K. Bangoura cost Stoke £1 million and he was a gamble. There are very few, if any, proven Championship quality strikers available for £150K. If they are available, we will not be the only Championship team interested and for the obvious reasons (wages, ground etc) they are unlikely to choose us.

As a result, we have to gamble. Turienzo failed as a gamble but Carole and Frutos were a success. If we had signed Tom Brighton then he would have been a gamble.

3 Things

1 He wasn't that bad, offsides aside.
2) McGammon's hardly the best person to partner him with up front.
3) McGammon, based on ability, has been given a disproportionate no. of chances to Tuirenzo.

Remember everyone slating Butter in the first season? Well I can't imagine our defence without him now. The same could be true of Turienzo!

He is in a foreign country and he is struggling with the language and injuries. Once he's settled in he *might* be that striker were looking for!

Lets just give him chance eh lads. Not just call him 'dead wood' and try and get rid of him at the first oppertunity!

That is all.

I agree. Give him a chance in Div 1. You can't imagine the defence without Butters? I can. El Abd and Hinshelwood.

To be fair, as a target man I thought he did a decent job - he held it up well, laid it off neatly and covered vast amounts of ground; but it's a target man needs someone to play off him, and McCammon was never going to do that. A bad pairing up-front if anything - I'd like to see him play with another player.

The reason people were having a go at Tank when he first came here was down to him looking about 20lbs overweight. After a while we ended up with a slimmer, improved veteran defender who has definitely proved his worth to the club. As the Argie cost us lots of money and we picked up Fruity and Seb on frees it makes it disproportionately worse with him not playing first team football. I believe he was signed to be Leons strikeforce buddy but for whatever reason this never happened. If he is fit enough he should be given a chance to prove himself even if it means displacing JR from the bench.
