Adams took over when we were 17th in Division 4 having been 23rd in division 4 the last 2 seasons. Adams has taken over this time after we neded up 7th in division 3. Slightly differerent.

Bring back Peter Taylor next and if he fails I want Coppell back at the helm.

It took MA about a season to get a team he could call his in place the last time he was here. Why do people think it will be any different ? It all just takes time.

And we only became good when Zamora came in. The chances of finding another premiership striker is practically zero. What annoys me even more is that he's just bringing in journeymen shite and taking out all the Brighton-born youngsters... and the team is worse.

Taylor is doing a superb job at Wycombe. Why ? , because he is a damn good manager.

The difference IMO, is that last time out, wholesale changes really were needed. He inherited a *terrible* side. This time, he simply needed to tinker with a side already on the cusp of the play off places.

And lets face it, his changes haven't inspired confidence. Rumours of players on contracts guaranteeing a starting place, coupled with his bizarre choice of where to play Virgo and decision to play Hawkins when blatently unfit - well they don't sit well with me.

Taylor is probably the most under rated Albion manager in the history of the club.

What we need is consistancy.....we had a fair amount of consistancy with Wilkins but that was taken away when we brought Micky back. To suggest that we were going to improve on last year when we have a new manager and probably half a new squad is folly.

Lets wait and see what the table says after Christmas. Either way, we dont want to become another Leicester and have 3 managers in 2 seasons etc etc

Exactly! Yes, Wilkins finished 7th last season but that was at the end of virtually 2 seasons in charge yet Micky is supposed the achieve more in just a few weeks - ridiculous!!

If we are below 7th at the end of next season then make the comparisons

That is spot on US. He was never given the credit he deserved partly because of the resentment that took over to a degree when he left on the back of his honest summing of the next season ( needed 6 players) He was right of course.

Taylor left in the most honourable way I have ever seen from an Albion manager, he had meetings with DK and did not get the budget to stay in the league , he decide to leave 4 months before the season began after winning the league and people still prefer Coppell who left mid season after dithering for 6 weeks to sign in the Summer and Adams who walked mid season as well.

Wycombe are now top of the league and undefeated all season. Our loss , their gain.

Not related.

His faith in Adams isn't being repaid yet, I agree (but suspect it will be)

But neither you nor I know why Wilkins was sacked so how can you say the decision was flawed?

On all the information we have I have always suspected it was because Dean disagreed with Dick over the Hammond and O`Callaghan affairs. Dean was manager yet it was Knight making all the noise in the press over this that and the other. Maybe Dean dared say something.
Then Dick did the famous, ''But it was a unanamous decesion from the board''

Of course it was Richard.

Isn't going to happen so why start a thread about it. Bringing back a former manager doesn't work.... apparently.

If he didn't get along with the board, then sadly Wilkins had to be removed from his position. However, I can't believe a better appointment than Adams could have been made. This was the man who stroppily walked out for the job as Leicester's number 2 after two years and one promotion.

Appointing Adams was always likely to prove the end of the road for our youth players. Some will be retained - but they will have to prove themselves over again. I liked some of the football I saw last year - but it was often boys against men. And that is not MA's style. He wants to have the men on his side. What do you think MA sees when he looks at Dean Cox ?

That is why it will take time. It isn't just a matter of adding a few players. I did hope that MA would be able to do just that - but it looks like he is aiming for something more root and branch. And maybe that is what is required to get us promoted and have a good crack at staying there.

MA is the manager - and we just need to get on with it. And that involves patience.

Nobody knows for sure TRHK because of Knights silence on the matter or maybe the 'shut up clause'
Whose fault do you think it is that it is still being debated at this time ?

I`ll wait for Dicks sycophantic entourage to follow up with their , ''We trust him implicitly blah blah, he is the saviour blah blah''

Dick Knight has been and still will be a great man for this club but never just accept what he or any chairman says without a pinch of salt.
