Chelsea are an arrogant bunch of tossers and I really hope this mistake (lets be honest) fucks everything up for them. They have no class, on the pitch or off it, its just a case of being as reckless as is physically possible with their money and not give a shit what it does to the premier league.

They have a 64,000 seater stadium and an ernormous commercial arm. They have won the Premiership and reached the last 4 of the Champions League on 2 of the last 3 seasons.

Chelsea are a big club. You might not like it, but there it is.

They are right now - but what many suspected (hoped, even) is that this was a very temporary thing. The foundations are built on the sand of Abramovich's roubles, and the edifice could now come crumbling down.

I can see a lot of big-name departures, results tailing off, and Abramovich eventually getting pissed off and jacking it in.

They will still attract players as long as he is there because of the wages, but history shows that players who are only interested in money won't win you anything.

Chelsea are not a big club in the way United, Liverpool, Arsenal and even Everton and Spurs are.

As opposed to all the other upstanding members of the prem who in it for the good of the game.

Funny how noone has a pop at Wigan for basically buying a place in the Prem.

Wigan and Blackburn (and their fans) don;t quite seem to carry the insufferable delusions of grandeur that the likes of Chelsea do though.

Well people can say what they like about Chelsea, Abramovic and his money but I would'nt mind someone like him turning up at the Albion and buying us a few years at the top.

Nice thing is though it seems as if its actually NOT about money this time, which is good...but you can understand their fans being upset as they've had a pretty awesome run under a colourful and passionate manager...so imagine how we'd feel if we had that and then it was swiftly and unceremoniously dispatched!

Some clubs have had it much much worse. can you imagine having your ground sold from under you by asset strippers and then being homeless for over 10 years?, maybe an extreme example as that could never happen could it, the FA wouldn't allow it.

Er.... but only the glory-supporters, who only sing when they are winning, would think it the end of their world.

Also, in 1992 they got 7,500 for a midweek home game with Southampton while we got 9,500 for the Goldstone visit of Palace, in the ZDS Cup!

Big club, my arse

I hate to break this to you but we're in 2007 now. If you want to rely on 15 year old facts to try and prove a point you could just as easily say that Oldham are a much bigger club than us.

Incidentally, Chelsea averaged over 18,000 at home in 1992. We managed just under 8,000.
