Quite Vegster, can see him being a great success there, just hope it takes a game or two to turn them around.
That’s the crux of it for me. I felt, wrongly it transpires, that he was on a hiding to nothing at Rangers in that he probably wouldn’t win the league and so could never truly succeed there. Ultimately he did, but how much of that was down to his managerial ability and how much was it due to Brendan Rogers leaving Celtic and their subsequent implosion? That’s the big question.
What does success look like at Villa? They strike me as a club with expectations and potential that don’t quite align, and that makes it a difficult job in an environment where a short period of poor form can see you out of a job, as Dean Smith recently learned.
If this is a stepping stone to the Liverpool job when allow leaves, it strikes me as a treacherous one.

Shirley top ten, I recently worked out from reliable data that their squad cost £444m, that’s about double ours.
Although the loss of Grealish is huge. His game-changing, plus the diving around, won them an awful load of points last season.
I wonder if he has assurances about spending, the way they targeted him immediately making him the man (unlike the summer charade at Spuds or the last chaotic month at NUFC), I would suggest means that have. They need a CB for starters, error strewn and comatose Mings is inept.

He's had a fantastic playing career and if he feels he wants to do football management he should be able to go where he likes, and manage without the Millstone of Liverpool around his neck.
He will know if he's up to the stress and hard work of management. He's probably got plenty of cash in the bank and that means he can walk away from the business if he can't cut it. If he gets good enough to manage a top 5/6 team then fair play to him, he will have done well. Remember, 11 player's in a team, only one manager so the odds are 10-1 to make it as a manager right from the start.

Absolutely, from facing Livingston, Ross County and Dundee FC to facing Man City and Chelsea, what could possibly go right?
If you take 102 points, it matters little what Celtic do. Rangers had a great season, no doubt.
Its a sign that he is a good manager but this is a different beast and it is difficult to predict how it will work out.
Top 10 is probably what they want with their spending and wages but if they end up top 12 this season I think their board, fans, media etc. would be happy.

I'm already dreading the day "Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa" play "Frank Lampard's Norwich". All we need is "Wayne Rooney's Derby County" to be in the mix too somehow via the FA Cup and the media will work themselves into a frenzy from which there'll be no return.

If Howe had had a week at Newcastle I suggest we would have blown them away. They would have gone for it which would have been much better for us than the way they set up, which was perfect to frustrate us

Why on earth do you presume that Potter would be tempted by a job at Leicester? If he were even to be approached of course.
Can you imagine the '' Implosion of the Media '' if their '' Three Musketeers '' Eddie Howe, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard all get relegated in one fell swoop next May - Along with the Relegation of the 4th Musketeer '' D'artagnan Rooney '' getting relegated from the Championship
